Mainstays 4 in 1 Avocado Fruit Tool, Pits, Cuts, Slices and Mashes, Green

Although this tool is novel idea it does I did not find it 100% useful. Removing the pit with this tool was probably the best feature. The masher part is also nice. But not any better than using a fork. The slicer was awkward to use. The cutting peak was somewhat helpful depending on the individual avocado. It's a safe tool to use. But it takes some getting use to.

This is the only tool you need to prepare your avocados. 4 in 1 function. Pits, cuts, slices and mashes saving you time in the kitchen. It is made out of heavy BPA Free plastic but has a nice sturdy feel in your hands when using. The bright green color makes it easy to find in the drawer.

Love new gadgets. Tried this the other day. Worked pretty well. Used it on a Haas avocado which are the smaller ones. Was able the get real slices with the back end of it. I did try to get the pit out but the little piece is too small. Needs to be bigger to grab the pit better. Haven’t used the masher yet but looks like it’ll do the job. They should make it so that you can slice open the avocado with this tool too so you don’t need a knife for that. But overall I’ll keep using it.

I received the MS Mainstay 4 in 1 Avocado tool and this tool is a all in one genius. The tool is basically a light plastic shapely barbell that has 2 functioning things on each end which makes four tools in all. The side that looks like a fan is the slicer and on the tip side of it is the 2nd tool which is the pitter to uplift the pits out before slicing. The other end that looks like a potato masher is to mash the Avocado pieces once cut out and on the side of that end of the masher is the cutter. It cuts through the skin and to square off the pieces to come out. This is a great addition to anyone kitchens gadgets and tools

This 4 in 1 Avocado Tool is superior to stainless steel which contains copper and iron which speeds up browning of the avocado while this plastic tool does not cause browning. This tool has a masher at the bottom, a small blade to half the avocado, there is a slicer and a pit remover. You stab the pit and it is easily removed. And your avocados will last longer using this tool.

My friends laugh at me for using this but I love it! Every parts of it works the way it's supposed to and it's very easy to use. The only hassle about it is the cleaning up part with all the tiny openings. But it does give you perfectly sliced up avocado!

This is a great idea, but unless you have the right size avocado, the side that slices can be too big. I do like the masher side, and that part works well. I love gadgets, but I am a little torn on this one. It also takes up a lot of room in my drawer.

This tool works ok if the avocado is large. If it's a smaller avocado the tool doesn't fit in it. This tool doesn't replace good knife skills. Just not worth having another specific tool in the drawer to use on one specific fruit/veggie. I can easily live without this.

I should have done more research. This gadget is inferior to several other designs. Firstly, there is no "real" cutting edge and no pit remover; Secondly, the slicer is not adjustable to the size of the avocado; and lastly, it destroyed my avocado with the jagged edge "cutter". Shop around for other options

The Mainstays 4 in 1 Avocado Tool did not come with instructions, so we just guessed at how to use the different features. My 20 year old daughter loves to make guacamole, so she agreed to try out the tool. She found the cutting edge ineffective, as it tore the peel into the flesh and didn't cut all the way to the pit. The pit pick wasn't sharp enough to sink into the pit & extract it from the avocado. Even the masher was subpar. I imagine this tool was developed to be a safer alternative to a sharp knife, but it does not do the job.
