Mainstays 4 qt Colander with Easy Grip Design, Blue

I have put this colander to work this week! From draining pasta, to rinsing rice, it is not a replacement for all of my other colanders. I was able to rinse my rice without losing a ton of them. I was also able to hold the edge of the colander while draining pasta without getting rushed by the hot water. It is large enough to handle consistent pouring, without being too large to contain, and is easy to clean. I did receive this product complimentary in exchange for my honest review.

I've been using this colander for every day cooking and its works really well. The size is just right for pasta, washing vegetables, and rising fruits. It's lightweight but feels sturdy, and the handles make it easy to carry without making a mess. It drains well and is simple to wash after using. I love how big this colander is! I only have small ones so I love that I can drain multiple cans of beans at one time in it and not feel like it's overflowing. I also love that this is dishwasher safe. With a small child, I have no time to hand wash a bunch of things so it's easy to pop in the dishwasher and it's held up very well. It's super lightweight and very easy to use.

This colander is both big and durable. The color is nice and it does its job. The only thing I would say that might be a little off are that the holes are pretty small so it takes a little longer to drain water or liquid out but also nothing else gets through the holes because theyre so small so maybe a good thing. I can see myself using this for a long time and am happy to have it after my last one which was smaller and more flimsy, broke.

Nice size in general. Fits in my sink and has legs to keep it from touching the interior of the sink. Found it got a little flimsy when straining hot pasta, that is why I put it in my sink. Overall, not bad. Perfdct for washing fruit and vegetables in it.
