almost perfect, great price, real glass front, i've only had one with a manufacturing defect in the glass itself, and only a few pieces with slight glass sliver chip on glass edge in corner, or a broken plastic corner piece... actually very good for the number received. Price is a few pennies more than in the store, but this is nitpicking... but you also asked :)
I am well pleased to own this 8 x 8 black finished picture frame, it's not only unique, but the size z a s very difficult to find. The black finish looks great with a black, and, white photo. The frame is sturdy, and can be hung horizontally, diagonally, or use the included easel for a stand. Frame is easy to dissembled, and assemble. Clear instructions are also included.
I like this 8" X 8" front loading Mainstays picture frame because the size is very good. Well, depending on your picture, of course. This is also very good as a plaque or for awards. I used it for a certain or special picture & hung it up. You can either hang it, as I did, or put it easel style. The pieces you need are included. I like to leave them in place, in case I decide to change my mind of where I want the picture to be. Seeing the frame is front loading (means you take out the glass), it's very easy to change out pictures if you'd like. Do put gloves on, as you stand a great chance at leaving finger prints where you touch, & they're usually inside. The frame has a good weight to feel nice, but is quite light. You really don't need more than a push pin to hold it in place. You can use a brad or a screw if you'd like. The opening in the back is one of those double key types, with the center being larger than the slot. This also means you have a much better chance at hanging it straight. I have a few other sized frames on these two butting walls, because I really like these frames & picked up a few more. You'll probably want to do the same.
I wanted to showcase some photos I had taken and was introduced to the MAINSTAYS 8 INCH X 8 INCH BLACK FORMAT PICTURE FRAME. I found: - It is a lightweight frame made of plastic. - There is a front mount feature. All I had to do was press the corners to release the glass insert. - It was easy to add my photo and replace the glass. - All I had to do was decide on how to display it. - There are good instructions to either hang the frame on our wall or use the easel (foot) to stand it up. The back framework and attached easel will allow me to switch between these two options. Now, some things to think about: - There is little room to add a mat or build a layered look with the backing sheet. - The frame itself is on the thin side, so is the glass. You will need to handle both with care. I suggest using a pair of gloves to work the frame until you are used to opening and closing it. That saved me time, no fingerprints to clean up. And best of all: - It's an inexpensive way to create a gallery wall of pictures!
These were perfect for what I needed. They are easy to open and place the picture. There are two different mounting locations on the back, one to hang and one to stand upright. I ordered 16 and only one had a tiny chip in the corner of the glass. Great for the price and they look nice enough.
This is a very nice frame. It has a matte finish which I really like. I have never bought a square frame before but I think I like this frame more than the 8 x 10 frame. Pictures look very nice in this frame. I plan to buy more of these and I recommend them to anyone looking for a nice frame.
This is a sturdy frame, and what I like most is it has a stand so it can be used without having to hang it on a wall. The neutral black coloring will help it go with any room decor.
This picture frame has real glass, instead of plastic...which is good. However, it seems of a lower quality, with punch out plastic for the easel piece, that doesn't fit well into it's slot. Although the size is good, and it looks pretty good too.
This an 8x8 picture frame with a black finish. It is front loading which means you must push the frame from behind and at the same time you slightly pull the frame apart at the top front corner. Mine does have a small chip out of the corner but I still could open the frame. I believe you need to be very careful when opening the frame so it doesn't crack. But, since you probably won't be changing the picture or document that often it will probably be okay. I'm not sure why it is made this way, I don't see an advantage to it. The frame is all plastic and just not very attractive but could work as a document frame or maybe used on a desk in an office. There is a small plastic easel included, but it is just a fraction too long and the frame leans a bit to the left and it will rock back and forth if you touch it. Everything considered, it is one of those not so great products so I would not recommend it.
The Mainstays 8" x 8" Black Format Picture Frame is a light, cheap looking plastic. The only thing I can see positive is that it certainly light so it should hang anywhere.
