Mainstays Basic Hand Towel, 100% Cotton, White

I love these, I work in this very hot Louisiana weather. I sweat profusely and use these at sweat towels. I use 4 a day and they are very soft. I always recommend these to others because they are a great price and if I accidentally loose them it's no big deal. Again, perfect for people who work outside and sweat a lot like I do.💯💯💯😎

These towel s are very soft...like the pattern....wash well and almost no lint...The only issue I had with this is when delivered I only recieved 5 of the towels I ordered and the 6th one was a different towel altogether...WalMart did compensate me for the missing towel...

I do not like thick washcloths or towels. So these Mainstays washcloths and hand towel fit the niche. They are pretty thin no not luxury by any means but I like them for my purposes. One drawback is that they are a bit stiff and not real soft. Odd because they are cotton. What I would expect for the price

These towels are perfect for the price. They are slightly thin which is why I gave it 4 stars but they are still wonderful, durable hand towels. I have had mine for about 2 or 3 months now and have washed them a few times. They still look like they did the day that I bought them. They didn't bleed, didn't shed. The stitching is still in tact. I bought the purple (lilac) and the grey and they are very true to color. I have 2 different type of racks that they are hung on. The first is the circle rack next to the sink. It only takes 1 and it fills the rack so you can wash your hands and quickly dry them (they dry your hands nicely). The other rack is your standard towel rack. I bring it up because they are a little smaller for the towel rack (width wise) so I should have ordered more to fill the rack width wise because it looks silly. Other wider hand towels filled the rack but 2 of these towels did not, I should have ordered 4. I hope that makes sense. Regardless they are definitely worth it if you are on the fence.

I'm almost positive I ordered the same towels I ordered several years ago, yet the new ones are not as heavy/thick as the old ones. Is it my imagination?? Just know that these hand towels are just fine as long as they are not used by several people many times a day and washed daily. Better to spend a little more and get a heavier and more absorbent towel if that's what you need. I ordered online. Best you check them in the store to be sure.

This hand towel is as the saying goes, you pay for what you get. I was expecting a lot more but that is not the case here. I washed them and put of lot of fabric softener in the wash cycle but it is just not of the best quality. I should have gone up a little more on the price selection. It is okay but not good or great.

I always bought Mainstays 100% cotton towels for the cost effectiveness, and in the past, they used to be actually nice! I had a few sets of aqua towels (bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths) which all held up for several years and did not get threadbare or fall apart. Unfortunately, the same CANNOT be said nowadays! The quality has dropped drastically. This year, I decided to buy the lavender colour just for a change. I expected the quality I had in my 'old' towels. At first, they seemed nice enough - noticeably thinner than my old towels, but soft. After washing, it was lint city in my washing machine! I do not use a dryer, but I completely believe the reviewers who have had massive amounts of lint in their lint traps. I know they're telling the truth just from the mess it left in my washing machine, the lint that would fly everywhere (including all over me) while snapping out the towels before hanging them to dry, as well as the lint that STILL was left on the towels after all of that which stuck to me after showering! What a nightmare having to try to pick lavender lint out of my hair every time I wash them. Worse, however, is that they become thinner and thinner the more you wash them. Any of that soft, fluffiness you got before washing disappears VERY quickly. Probably because they shed like crazy and the towel fibres are sparse compared to the older Mainstays towels. As if the lint and thinness issues weren't enough? They also fall apart...literally! At the edges where the hand towels are hemmed, there are noticeable places where there are no fibers at all and you can look right through the towels. Several frayed right there and one hem came apart. Another started to rip. The wash cloths are equally as sad, with loose stitching around the edges that let go easily, and threads left long. I know these aren't high end towels, but I NEVER experienced these things with my older Mainstays towels! I'm not hard on my towels, I do not use dryers, I do not use harsh chemicals nor fabric softeners. This brand is just putting out terrible quality now that isn't worth even the lower prices. Even the colour is inconsistent, with some of the lavender being richer and some being more muted. This has been THE WORST experience with this brand that I've ever had, and I am not spending one more cent on this brand. I'd advise others to think twice before wasting your money on these. You may think they're ok at first, but soon you may find yourself annoyed that you spend even a dime on them, especially if you live on a tight budget.

Very thin hand towel, if you’re looking for a disposable towel that’s good for one or two hand wipes this would be the towel for you. I bought it to be used in our bathroom after washing hands but Walmart has another towel (can’t remember the name brand) that’s much better.

This was suppose to be a delivery a week ago. I needed these for my elder mother and sister. Worst Walmart delivery experience ever. The towels are low quality, no fluff, so aggravated with the delivery. 12 towels came in 3 separate deliveries and I'm still missing 1. I had to go to Amazon to get what I needed. Before the flew back home to DR. Way to go Walmart!!

This is super cheep and thin. Even worse after washing. It barely soaks up anything let alone to use as a hand towel . My have wash cloths are thicker. only good to use as a cleaning rag.
