Mainstays Basic Metal Student Computer Desk, True Black Oak

Excellent quality and easy to put together. I love the mint green, which is soft. Perfect size and height for my preteen daughter. Plenty of space. We have a cat and bunny who think everything is their play space so the material is great for our house. Even if they sneak on top of the shelves, no scratches are left.

Just purchased this product last night. Put it together this morning. Assembly was a breeze even with my daughter and new puppy that like to grab and tear into anything, i had it up in about 20 minutes. i also bought a mainstay mid-back office chair that goes perfectly with it. Also the in store price is only $29!

If you are interest in a very basic desk (no drawers) this is an Excelente product , I only wish it had another support on the front bottom, to use it to rest my feet. Rolling the screws was kind of a pain as they require pressure, but we got it done.

Instructions were in broken English with a lot of typo. Had to screw the desk top on with no guidance for where to hole should be also had to be drilled .Had minor chips on desk too. In order to adjust the height, it has to be taken apart . It's cute but deceiving.

Please tape some kind of padding on the corners, if active children will be near this desk. Otherwise, it is excellent. A lighter colored desk will make it easier to notice if you've left anything on top of it. If you use in-store pickup, make sure to bring a shopping cart for it, to the pickup area near the back of the store. The package is heavy and unwieldy, so carrying it through the store will make you unwary, which may be unwise.

The color is cute. This was a hard desk to put together. The material is a little flimsy. I had to work really hard to get the screws in the tiny holes. The legs seem stable. The material seems cheap. My daughter accidentally left a disinfectant wipe on the desk and the material started to peel, which shows how cheap the paint is. I'm keeping it for now, but probably won't purchase again.

It's decent quality. You get what you pay for but it will get me through school. The desk was broken on the front right corner. It seems as if they dropped it right on that side but at this point if I sent it back for exchange school would be over so I will just deal with it. It will get the job done I guess

I am very disappointed with this Mainstays metal desk. It arrived damaged and poorly packaged. The box was already damaged, the Styrofoam was broken, and the screws were loose in the box instead of being properly secured. Because of this, several parts of the desk were bent, which made assembly extremely difficult. Even after putting it together, the desk is uneven and not sturdy at all. It does not sit level and feels unstable, which is unacceptable for a desk. This product did not meet my expectations in terms of quality or packaging. I would not recommend this desk unless packaging and quality control are significantly improved.

GARBAGE . MAKE BELIEVE WOOD IS SO CRAPPY , SCREWS WILL NOT HOLD AND STRIP OUT !! I CAN SEE WHY THEY ARE NO LONGER BEING OFFERED .CHINESE CRAP. A WAST OF MONEY . I HAD TO DRILL THE (WOOD???) OUT AND USE MACHINE SCREWS TO AT LEAST HOLD THE THING TOGETHER . iF IT HAD BEEN MADE WITH HARD BALSA IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER AND HOLD A LITTLE LONGER !!!!!!

This pink desk had holes on the metal frames , E and D, that were too small for the screws provided. That meant no shelves. We did not return it, because we were able to attach the legs to the top. So although there are no shelves now on the desk - the desk is still functional. We are going to hang the shelves onto the walls - like floating shelves. Lemons into lemonade. Sadly we purchased the yellow one too - it also had small premade holes, but the holes on Frame E were on the incorrect side to boot. So wouldn't have mattered anyways. The order arrived late, but we are living in COVID days - so no biggie. I think shipping was free anyways. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS IF YOUR BUDGET ONLY ALLOWS YOU TO PURCHASE ONE DESK. Because - you deserve for your money to be well spent.
