Really cheap - easy to use - comes with a cleaning brush - has a "flat" side which keeps it from rolling about. I'm armed and ready to make my holiday turkey!
Works perfect for the price for a purpose other than what it was intended for… cleaning up the tank after our axolotl!
I used this for soap. I make my own liquid soap from scratch and I tend to dilute it less than “average” soap since I prefer it more concentrated. For reference, it's about as thick as corn syrup, which is impossible to pour or otherwise put into hand pump containers or reusable soap bottles without a large pipette or Turkey baster. I got this precisely due to that and it works wonderfully. Since it works so well for thick goop, I can safely assume it'll work great for turkeys and food purposes. A that it's latex free as well.
I have bought 3 of them. They are not heat resistant. Works for cool liquids only. Melts and cracks with heat. If you need to bast meats get a metal baster instead.
You get what you pay for. If you use this to actually suck in a hot liquid and then squeeze the hot liquid out, then you may find that you only get one use out of it before it starts to crack. If you intend to use it for non-basting purposes, maybe you'll be fine. If you want a meat baster to do what a meat baster does, pay a little more and avoid this one.
i bought a few. should have just bought the stainless steel one. i use it with high temps and it cracks every time. ive bought 3 or 4 of them. and i know ill save in long run just buying the steel one to withstand high degrees ! hope this helps!
Worked fine - from August until November, during which time it was barely used. It mostly sat in a drawer, protected from everything. It cracked, in a nice spiral down the side, when I went to baste a turkey with it. Unfortunately cheap.
This baster was a total disaster! Before I even got the butter to the turkey, it all dribbled out of the baster, all over my oven door, my oven bottom, but not on the turkey. It just ran out of the baster. What good is that? Mainstays is the bottom of the pile as far as i'm concerned. A total waste of money.
One time use. This baster cracked when we used it for basting. Cracked. Is it a baster? Should be good for hot liquids, right? Then why did it crack when we used it for basting?
the plastic body cracked after one use rendering it unusable. at least i got thanksgiving out of it
