Mainstays Chunky Sparkle Chenille Yarn, 31.7 yd, Vanilla Dream, 100% Polyester, Super Bulky

This yarn is thick, soft, and has lots of sparkle. I choose the color Vanilla Dream chenille. It does not shed! So I am going to crochet a warm stocking cap topped with a snowball made of this same yarn. Being polyester, the cap will launder and hold its shape with no problems. To crochet with this yarn you will need one of the jumbo size crochet hooks. You crochet in the same way that you crochet with a small hook. To make a snow ball for the top of the cap take a sturdy piece of card board cut to the length of the diameter of the snowball you want. I am going with 6 inches in length and 5 inches wide. Now wrap the yarn around the length of the cardboard around and around and around. The more you wrap, the fluffier your snowball. End with the yarn at the edge of the cardboard. Cut it off. Now take a 7 inch length of yarn and slip it beneath all of the layers of yarn you wrapped. Pull this 7 inch length to one end of the cardboard and tie it tightly. Loop it through again, twice this time and tie it again. Loop it one more time and tie it tightly. At the opposite end cut through all of the yarn you wrapped around the cardboard. Fluff up your snowball and sew it to the cap you crocheted.

This has got to be the cutest yarn by far. I’m making my soon to be grand daughter a blanket and I can’t wait to see the final product. This is also some of the softest yarn ever. I love it

This was my first experience ever with bulky yarn. The strand is about the size of one of my fingers. I was amazed at how super soft the yarn is, while being easy to work with. I got the sparkly vanilla dream color and it is so beautiful. I love that the yarn comes with instructions inside the label, for making a beautiful afghan with it, if one chooses. There is a picture with the instructions which shows the texture and design of the finished product. I began to crochet using my hands without a crochet hook and it is easy to do with this yarn. The texture of what you make with this turns out soft and fluffy. I'm excited to purchase enough to complete my project!

This yarn is SO warm and fuzzy! My daughter is just learning to crochet and is doing single crochets to make a blanket. It’s probably gonna take 11-12 skeins to complete but, she’s having fun with it!

I loved the product but i didnt get exacly what i ordered which was okay cause i like it better then what I originally wanted and i started making a penguin you cant twll but the white i ordered was plain white but the one i got was plain white with sparkled

Thick yarn for those projects that utilize the large yarn size. My only complaint is that the colors available are very limited. And I'm not excited about the sparkle, but I believe it will work up to be a very nice project. Best of all is the price. I saw a similar yarn elsewhere for $18.99/skein so this price is excellent.

I got the pink glitter so pretty & soft. I got it for my mom who crochets beautifully. She had a stroke a few months ago & she loves crocheting since it’s really thick she can use her hands it’s great therapy for her. She is going to love it!! I would definitely recommend it I was very happy when it arrived & I saw it. Just knowing my mom is not only going to like it but enjoy herself is priceless.

I just love this yarn. One might think the metallic pieces would be itchy but it is super soft and cuddly. I did notice some variations on the dye lot from the different skeins of yarn but very slight difference. I plan to purchase more in the future. Hoping for more colors to choose from.

This super bulky sparkle chenille yarn feels very luxurious. I used it to crochet a blanket and the project worked up VERY fast! I was concerned that the little sparkle pieces would shed and/or feel itchy but neither is true. The yarn is as soft as a kitten.

The color is what I wanted so thats OK....The delivery of the item, items, it is back to the same problem It gets delivered elsewhere. YOU Walmart need to have a class on how to read. Paulette
