Mainstays Clear Glossy Plastic Boot Shoe Box with Lid, Adult Size

Although Mainstays calls it a Boot Box, I just love its large capacity for any storage and the crystal clear view of the contents. It solves my problem of storing things on the upper shelf of my closet in those opaque plastic totes only to have yank it down to open it when I'm looking for something. Yes, I label but don't list every item. This box is attractive, stackable and shouldn't discolor over time. The lid fits securely, and sides have a few tiny air vents to let the fabrics (or boots) breathe. The only downside is that very hard plastic will crack or break if dropped, but knowing this I plan to handle carefully so the box will last a long time. In my picture, you'll see the dimensions on the label (would prefer a label that is easy to remove without a mess so I'm just gonna leave it.) Also you can see that I've stacked 18 polo shirts and still have room in the box. Very pleased and would recommend this product for lightweight items.

This crystal clear boot box really elevates the look of my closet. This fits a pair of tall leather boots with mid-size heels (size 7) nicely and I love stepping into my closet seeing how elegantly my boots are displayed. It fits my closet shelving perfectly. There are small round holes on the sides for ventilation and it has a lid that snaps securely on. It’s luxurious!

This crystal clear boot box is an attractive storage solution. I easily removed the label with one hand and it left no residue, whatsoever. It's breathable, with air holes on both of the longer sides. This is large enough to comfortably fit both pairs of my daughter's size 7.5 fashion boots (calf and thigh high lengths). I can easily see something much bigger (like a large pair of men's rigid cowboy boots) fitting inside this just fine. The lid sits a bit in the box, making it appear stackable. At first, I was concerned that the lid doesn't "lock" into place. However, this could be a plus for those who struggle with opening/closing the typical storage container lid. I was mindful of how I held it when lifting the box up high onto a shelf. This gives our closet a much neater, cleaner look.

I love to stay organized and this mainstays plastic boot box fit my items perfectly in the top of my closet. I can clearly see what is in the box should I be looking for a specific item. It is very sturdy.

Could not rate 5 stars, but I wish I could because I love Mainstays plastic containers. They are stylish and VERY affordable. I believe I can speak on that because I have two years of experience researching, purchasing, and returning purchases. The only issue is the occasional damaged/cracked lids and containers. However, this has not deterred me from re-ordering. Conversely, I'm concerned because I'm planning to purchase more. Maybe the shipping preparation requires quality inspection.

This clear Boot Box with Lid is perfect. The top of the lid is different and I can see how it would work perfectly as a stackable storage solution. This box is crystal clear and looks good in my space. It is multi-functional and can be used to store away things you daily.

This Mainstays clear shoe box for boots with the lid has its pros and cons. I definitely like that it is clear so that I can see what shoes are in it without going through opening up regular cardboard shoe boxes before finding which shoes I want to wear for that day. I also like that it comes with the lid. The lid doesn’t fit all too snug but it does have a lid. I like that the box has air holes in it. If you are using it for shoes, that would be nice to help air them out. This box is very roomy so the shoes will fit without having to shove them there and cause them to crimp up or not have enough space. I also like that there are several different sizes that you can get for all your shoe needs and they stack quite nicely. You don’t have to use it just as a shoe box, you can use it to store anything you want that will fit inside. I don’t like that it has stickers on it that don’t come off very well. I tried to pull the stickers (top and side) off but they started to tear and was leaving stickiness underneath. Very thin plastic, be careful not to scratch or crack it.

having nuisances with thisline... 1st order gave broken lid but container ok ; 2nd one gave broken container but ok lid ; so i gave this a 3rd try to see how it goes....geez... strangely tge 0.50 x 14.75 x 5.75 Inches lines ok though; i ordered 2 of those and they were ok , each item came with extra lids....

I got to try out three different sizes of this shoe box. I found the containers to be awesomely clear for having visibility to see the shoes inside the box. The containers remind me of restaurant food grade containers that they store food in. But the shoe boxes have holes for ventilation in a couple of places on each box so air and bugs can go in and out of them freely. Each box by itself carries easily but I found that if I stack them and carry the stack, the lids felt uncomfortably loose and the containers wanted to yield to the weight. Another thing about stacking the containers on a more positive note is that there are small barriers that keep each container from sliding around. Because shoes come in all shapes and sizes, it may be challenging to find the right shoe box but there are different size options to help make it easier.

The clear containers showed up stacked, all with marks that I cannot wipe off and some cracked. If I am going to display these in my closet in clear containers they better look perfect.
