Mainstays Clear Vinyl Carpet Protector Runner, 2 ft x 6 ft

I love this mainstay clear plastic see-through because if it's just right with my rug which won't have the look of the rug because you can see through after work. it has the little prongs on the reverse side to actually grip the road so it won't move and slide and you will not fall or trip over the ends. it's just the right thickness so that the front door glass right over it and the rug with no stoppage. I love this item from mainstay and Walmart. if you want to protect your rug especially through a walkway walk in traffic area you should invest in this clear vinyl plastic from mainstay it will do your rug a lot of good and let's cleaning in that walk through earlier. take it from me this is a good investment in long rug care.

We use this as a carpet protection as our ferrets have a room to roam in during the day and do not always use the pet pads. This is thin enough to fit at the doorway. Sad no one at the store could find it in stock so I ordered from same store same day and it was delivered.

Great item. Durable long lasting and crystal clear. Grips carpet well and works great to prevent stains in entryways and hallways. Just don't flip it over and walk on it by accident. Ouch. I only wish this brand offered wider sections ( like 4') in the same length.

I purchased a couple of cat houses and unfortunately from Wayfair the wood was super thin to add more protection I use these carpet runners to put around and on top of the cat houses. It was easy to apply. Had some extra going to use it as a slide down the steps for snow this winter.

A good solution to the problem of keeping light colored area rugs looking good. After struggling with drab looking rugs, it finally occurred to me that there are ways to protect them from dirt, spills and grime. I use these protective runners for everyday and when having guests, remove them. Such a simple solution. Wish I'd thought of it sooner.

THIS ITEM WAS PURCHASED TO COVER A SECOND FLOOR BALCONY THAT HAS A PLANK FLOOR WITH SMALL SPACES BETWEEN PLANKS. BIRD SEED (FROM MY NEW FEEDER) WAS FALLING THROUGH AND MAKING A PROBLEM FOR NEIGHBOR BELOW. TIME WILL TELL IF THIS WILL HOLD UP FOR AN UNUSUAL USE. DELIVERY WAS EXCELLENT - ORDERED IN THE MORNING AND DELIVERED THE SAME EVENIING. (PACKAGE OF 3 RUNNERS - 72 SQ FT.)

However I did not buy for its intended use. I needed it for outside. There is a cat outside and its spraying my screen porch to mark its territory. Horrible. The smell is so bad! Drives my cats crazy (indoor only). To solve the problem passively, buy a cheap plastic runner. Put it with the picky bottom side…up…on the floor of the deck/porch entrances. No cats, raccoons, squirrels, etc will walk on it. I have no children here so didn't need to worry about that. This laid nice on the deck, but I put a screw at each corner and it was very very easy to cut.

They are not bad. I just thought it was crytal clear like the photo shown on website. I ordered two online, and they were not the same clear. One was cloudy and the other was cloudy blue. If you have a pretty walkway rug, it will over cover the design if you want the sign to show. It is nice a thick so it will last. I believe it can work well on a patio or the garage. I never opened it; I returned it.

Would recommend with some hesitancy. The plastic was thinner than I would have hoped. Although advertised to run over carpet, my particular carpet had pile that was too long to work well with this product. Slippage was certain and I feared tripping and falling.

This runner looked really decent for the price until I rolled it out and both ends curled up. If you have some way to secure it, go for it but I don't so back it goes.
