Mainstays Cool-Touch Cooling Reversible Bed Blanket For Adults and Children

I never write reviews on anything, but this has done exactly what it says it would do and I really feel I need to share it. I sleep in the spare room, because the room I share with my husband is too hot for me. I have been trying to deal with my excessive heat sleeping issues for the last 2 yrs. I pull my covers on

Pretty shocking how the fabric actually does what it says...it just seems to be colder than other blankets...but only on one side...the material on the cooler side feels almost like there was some moisture in the fabric recently. Of course, after you've been under it for a while, it warms up just like any other blanket material, but it cools off quickly if you expose it to the open air again. It seems to work best if you sleep under the warmer side of the blanket, then if you wake up feeling too warm, just flip the blanket over to the cooler side like you would to get to the cooler side of the pillow...I bet if you did both at the same time you'd be cooled off in seconds...maybe even too much so for some haha. Even if you share a big bed, it might be smart to get each person their own twin size cooling blanket because some sleepers might not enjoy the surprise of the cooler side of the blanket in the middle of the night :)

Its a very nice blanket for cooling but also it has a side thats warmer for if you get cold. I cant get my pets to stop cuddling it.

I sleep on a memory foam mattress. No problem when I lived up north. after relocating to the South, not so much. I put this blanket, cool side up under fitted sheet. Works great. No more too hot to sleep!

I was going to buy the more expensive version of this that was sold in the store. But after reading the reviews on it I decided to go with the Mainstays one because said to buy this one instead and I'm so glad I did. No complaints. It is super soft microfiber on top and the cooling layer on the other. This is the perfect summer comforter. Lightweight but heavy enough to still feel like you have a weight on you while staying stay cool!

I purchased the Tempur-Pedic Cool Softness Reversible Blanket because of most blankets and comforters making us too hot when we sleep. (I've spent hours reading reviews in search of decent cool blanket; even more time sleeping (sweating) under the false claims; and hundreds or more $ looking for something that even comes close to this.) We've been using this blanket for about a month, and for two hot sleepers it's been good. I don't find myself kicking it off throughout the night. Be sure to have the cooling side facing properly to take best advantage of the cool effect. It is lightweight, soft to the touch, and the light grey color is versatile to fit most room aesthetics. (More color options would be great, though!) As other reviewers have mentioned, the size is generous from side-to-side. Purchased two of these - one for a king bed and one for a queen bed. They wash and dry well (so far) and lay flat without wrinkles. The sideways stitching still gets me when I make the bed, but that's a small adjustment compared to sleeping through the night!

This is an absolute must in the summer in the desert. Most of these cooling blankets are extremely thin, this one is not! It feels cold to the touch on one side, and is such a help in the heat. The queen size makes it great for the bed or the couch. Even though its thicker, its still very light weight and will not overheat you.

Although this "cool" blanket had more insulation than I expected, I prefer it over the no. 1 rated lighter weight "cool" blanket which I also purchased. I use the Mainstay blanket nightly. The higher rated blanket will b donated 2 charity.

This blanket stayed cool for about two minutes, and then the cooling feature shut off, and it just became a regular blanket. Stitching came loose on the blanket, which appears to very cheaply made. Not a fan. If I could give it zero stars, I would, but then I wouldn't be able to submit this review.

I washed blanket before putting on bed. I noticed several large stiff areas on surface that were slightly discolored so I rewashed this item. Areas are still there after multiple washings, very disappointed. Had discarded packaging before discovering these areas so unable to return. One area approx. 12 x 6-8 inches. Be sure to thoroughly check blanket out if you purchase. I ended up discarding this without using. Waste of my money.
