As a canner, cheesecloth is known for its ease of use for straining and separating solids and liquids. The stain aspect is minimal if immediate washing takes place. The durability of Main Stays has a proven track record in my household already and the cheesecloth stood up to their quality of products. A nice purchase at a reasonable cost and online available too.
Exactly what I was looking for. These succeed in keeping fruit flies and other small pests away from my garden cuttings and plants that are currently indoors or go in and out. Of I purchased something on Amazon previously that was labeled “cheesecloth”, but was loosely woven and large fruit flies and others easily went through the holes….a waste of money and time. I'm pleased with this purchase.
This cheesecloth is perfect to strain my homemade butter with! Ease of use? So easy my 5 year old helps me out! I've washed and dried this cheesecloth many times and it holds its integrity - the structure and sturdiness of it is top tier!
This is a good cheesecloth, the size is perfect, and I literally made the BEST mozzarella cheese the other day. Also, the strain and sturdiness is great. Would reccommend.
I use cheesecloth to strain my cold brew coffee . This is the perfect size for my small batch strainer and is cheap enough to throw away after I use it. I just cut at the length I need- strain the cold brew from the grounds - and then toss it.
Im experimenting growing sprouts and micro greens for better health . The kits with ( metal )mesh strainers on mason jars are expensive and I want a disposable alternative to the hard to clean metal strainers . I can't wait to experiment by attaching this cheese cloth to the bottom of my mason jars as a perfect means to drain and rinse my sprouting seedlings. Thanks for fast delivery Walmart
This works in a pinch. It is so flimsy, however, to actual strain. It needs to be doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled to keep whatever it is you are straining from going through. It is cheap and does what it is designed to do, with a little layering.
I bought this to cook turkey (Martha Stewart recipe). When I tried to unfold and refold it for recipe, it all but fell apart, just too thin, flimsy. Unlike cheese cloth I previously used, this had larger spaces between thin threads. Managed to make it work but will look for something more substantial next time.
I use cheesecloth for straining tallow, herbs and in canning. This is the most gauze-like “cheesecloth” I have ever bought. It would not work well for any of my purposes. I used with 8 layers to can apple juice and the amount of residual in the jars is massive. Purchased a better grade to re-filter prior to drinking. Don't really like to redo my work but…with this I had no choice. This worked about as well as a tea ball would have.
although I'm sure the item works good but when I went to pick it up the package was brought to me it was already open so i couldn't use it. I was so mad and it was the day BEFORE Thanksgiving and it was busy and i was already tired being around people and i still needed to hurry and get home to cook. It was a waste of $ because i couldn't use it.
