Mainstays Expandable Steel Laundry Drying Rack, 7-Level, Oversized

Great clothes dryer that can expand! You can make it wider for more hanging space or short for less space needed and then fold up and store in small space. This is a perfect for drying clothes or carpets that you don't want to go into the dryer - or just save money and don't use dryer.

I must say, this drying rack is the best, I have ever had! I love the fact that you can make it wider, then any other drying rack! If you have a small space, you can make it smaller! I also was very impressed how easy it was to put it together! I have arthritis and if I can put it together, anyone can, plus you don't need any tools. I honestly tried to find at least one con about it, however, I cannot find one. I highly recommend this drying rack to everyone! I would also like to say, that I am in the spark reviewer program, will only give a honest opinion, so I would rate this as a 5 star!

I received the Mainstays Expandable Steel Laundry Drying Rack for free from Spark Reviewer in exchange for my opinion. I have not had a drying rack since I was a child but know how useful they can be. This rack seems very sturdy (I plan to use it to dry comforters). It was easy to put together, it took me and my son less than 5 minutes to assemble start to finish and it will be easy to disassemble for storage. It is adjustable so you can make the length of the bars longer/shorter to adjust accordingly. I can also see this coming in handy for drying wet clothes during the snow. I was impressed with the quality of this drying rack and will recommend it to anyone in the market for one.

First, let me say this is expandable, not just up and down but side to side so it can fit in small spaces and it can expand to accommodate plus size clothing with ease. I love that it is full metal construction which makes it more durable for heavier clothing like winter sweaters, jeans, or even coats. It has a nice finish so you don't need to worry about snagging your most delicate hand washables when hanging them to dry. It folds flat for storage and easy mobility. It does come unassembled but it was a breeze to put together. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nice practical way to hang dry clothing.

I was surprised with how tall this Mainstays drying rack is. When fully assembled, it measures 4.5 feet tall, which is only a foot shorter than I am. I do like that the width can be expanded so I have the option to save space or optimize the rack. The smallest width is about two feet, and the largest is almost three feet wide. It is very lightweight. I was worried about it tipping over, but as long as I set it out of the way of main foot traffic, it seems pretty sturdy. It easily holds draped T-shirts and pants, and the top is nice for sweaters that shouldn't go in the dryer. I don't think I would put soaking wet clothes on this because it is very lightweight, and even though it's steel I'm not confident that it won't rust. But it is nice for damp clothing. I super love that this rack can be folded up for storage when not in use. I have a small area for a laundry room, so I love space saving items. It was fast to assemble and really easy. My 7-year-old honestly did most of the assembly because he loves helping and building. Overall, I'm satisfied with this drying rack. It's not heavy, easy to move, simple to assemble and stores away with little space.

Easy to set up and love the ability to expand if needed. It's also great for steaming tablecloths and larger items. It holds a lot of weight - we used it to hang wet towels in the bedroom to help the humidifier lol. We normally take it down and store in the closet until needed and the rods would always come off when putting up and taking down so we put some Elmer's white glue on each one (except the one you're supposed to remove to take it down) and now it's perfect. It is wobbly but it does what it's light enough to move around and consistently does what it's supposed to do.

When I went to exp[and the clothes rack, imagine my surprise when one of the bars separated from the side piece. I thought that the expandable piece was missing. When I took the bar off the rack and looked at it, the expandable piece was there inside the other part but it was not connected!! Poor workmanship!! I cannot take a picture of the rack with the problem, because I have since fixed the problem myself.

Pros: This laundry rack is lightweight, easy to put together without any tools and expands to a really nice size for drying multiple articles of clothing at once. It folds down very small, fitting easily on a wall-hook or out of the way place such as behind a door. Cons: The tool-less nature of the build also means that it comes apart fairly easily. You have to be careful how you pick it up so that none of the cross bars pop out. Similarly, if you pick it up at the wrong angle, it will expand instantly due to the pull of gravity. I managed to smash a few toes the first time I picked it up out of storage! Overall, I think this is a great buy for anyone with limited laundry space or a shared space in which they dry clothing.

Clothes drying rack I ordered appeared to have been previously used. It was rusted and not in the original company packaging. Return label said Returns Center. Contacted Customer Service and received a full refund. Ordered again and second one also came from the Returns Center. Again, random pieces in plain, brown box. How are you charging full price for items that have been returned???

Broke after a couple of uses. Then tried to exchange it a month later and was told it wasn't in stock by an associate even though the app said it was available. Then was told because it was an online order they wouldn't exchange t and could only give a credit or refund back to the card. The order was fulfilled by Walmart. I was willing to give it a second chance but not now. Overall feel of the product was flimsy at best.
