Mainstays Faux Sisal Olefin Gray Border Indoor Runner Rug, 2 ft x 6 ft

Love this size. Very hard size to find and believe me I have looked everywhere! Needed a larger rug than the normal 30x46 inch size and this rug 4feet by 5.4 feet fit the bill. Great value for the price. Our entryway is straight from outside so we needed something that would get the dirt off. Most rugs were too commercial looking and this was the perfect balance.

When this rug arrived, I was surprised at just how nice looking it was. I first left it in the living room for about a week and it looked really good there but I am living with my sister right now and today moved it to my bedroom. This rug should add more warmth to my bedroom (that is the warm decor feeling as well as heat warmth) plus it goes very well with my gray comforter and bed-skirt – which I took a picture of but oops, my gray jacket was on the bed and I should have ironed the bed-skirt!) The 100% olefin loop pile is pretty soft when I touched it with my hands (I have feet problems and don’t walk around bare-footed). Plus, even though the rug has only been in my bedroom about 30 minutes, the living room does not feel as warm as it did before. When I move to my own place, this rug will look really good under my dining table or anywhere else I might want to place it. I did want to state that the outline is a dark gray with the inside being a lighter gray but it is a gray and not as dark as black.

The rug arrived yesterday and I unpacked it right away. My first notion was to open it out and pry the corners down so it would stay flat but that was not an issue. It rolled out perfectly and right away it was put in place on the floor at my entrance. When I saw the word "SISAL" I just assumed it was for outdoors but it is an inside rug . I have tile floors so it is very slippery so tomorrow I will return to Walmart and get a non slip rug pad to make it non skid. The rug looks very expensive and is made very well. The loops are really tight so the cats are not interested in sharpening their claws on it as they would with the typical "Sisal". That is what cat scratching posts are made of. This rug is a beautiful addition to my home and anyone looking at it would think it was a well known brand that costs 4 times the price. Walmart hits another home run with me. LOVE IT

This is a nice area rug that is soft to the touch, the design is not unattractive it is soothing. The solid border compliments the interior design. They are both the same softness and it all flows together that a feature of a well designed rug has. The design stands out as a rug with good quality it keeps you looking at it and wanting to touch the softness. It is good to do my push-ups on, nice and cushioning. It works to play family games on, I would not want it in a high traffic area, I want to feel the softness and enjoy the comfort of a barefoot type experience. It is a nice thickness to easily vacuum and keep clean. I have rugs I that I can use on top of carpet and this is one of them I will also be using it on wood floors when my house is remodeled that will fit well. I will get backing to keep it in place and keep from slipping, on the wood floor. The are a couple of locations that this will be a perfect fit before I find the area where it will be the perfect compliment and it will have the most advantageous and enduring effect, be one of those rugs that you will take care of to make it last a 'lifetime'. The color will match my interior and furnishings with no minimal effort.

I didn't realize how really good this Mainstays Faux Sisal Gray 5x7 Rug looks until it was down on my floor. I like how it looks and blends with everything around it. It feels good underfoot and doesn't show dog hair between vacuumings. The bottom is not foam backed, so it won't glue itself to my wood floors as previous rugs have. It has a latex backing that aids in being slip resistant. Although I noticed that when my little dog is doing her 90 yard dash, she managed to move it a little. It is a fantastic accent to any room and I could have put it anywhere and it would have blended in and added to the room's looks. It is made of 100% Olefin pile. I need an easy to care for rug and this fits the bill. I am so impressed with this faux sisal look that I immediately ordered a matching runner to go between my couch and coffee table. The room has taken on a new re-modeled look due to the size and pattern of this rug. Plus the fact that I live in 100+ year old house, this rug makes for warmth on the wooden floor.

MainStays Faux Sisal Gray 5x7 rug has Lighter gray mix with dark gray in the center and the border is a darker gray. I picked this rug to match the runner I put in the bedroom. I decide that I would put the MainStay Faux Sisal Gray 5x7 rug in the living room for it has a wood floor. It get cold during the winter and having a rug down adds a with warm. When I unfolded the rug it was easy and no problem staying down, and no smell. The one little problem was that the rug moved a little. On the back of the rug has a thin backing that helps support the rug to the floor, it could be thicker. By placing my coffee table on the rug it stays in place better. I like the feel of the soft feeling of the rug under my feet. I love that its stain and fad resistant that helps out a lot with having pets/kid, in the home. This rug is very durable and a great price. I live with cats and it's nice to know you can get something nice look and and at a great price. I love this rug a lot and looks great in my living room.

I was very surprised with how soft this rug felt. I was expecting a stiff rug more suitable for the basement or enclosed porch, but it is very soft and perfect for my living room. Yet it still has enough firmness to deal with children. The loops of the rug are tight. The pattern is so beautiful, yet simple. Perfect for hiding a few crumbs that toddlers are known to leave behind. I would recommend this rug for a small room like mine. It is the perfect size. It rolled out easily and immediately laid flat. There was a bit of a new carpet smell, but it wasn't overwhelming. A little febreeze would easily help that. The color matches the blue-grey of my living room walls perfectly. I am very pleased and have no regrets with this rug. There is a thick border around the entire rug of solid grey that helps tie in the pattern of the center. It also helps give the rug a more solid look. It's very modern in color, yet semi traditional in pattern. I believe this rug could work with many types of decor. My living room is a more traditional, yet comfortable space and it works well. You can't go wrong!

I received this beautiful rug just in time as I am allergic to my present rug. (Donated). Delivered in perfect condition, removed the plastic, there is a little odor but when unrolled, the scent goes away, I believe it is from the wrapping plastic. The color is on point, I placed this rug in my sewing room over my wall to wall carpeting and, it is just stunning. What I like most is, that it stays put, no slipping or movement on the rug underneath.. Just love it.

The rug looks good nice color will not show dirt easily. Rug is thick and the woven back is stiff and seems to be tough. Stays on the floor and does not slide. I like the colors not to dark and not to light. I put this in front of my desk and it works great for the sliding wheels on the chair. Goes great with the black desk. If you have an office in your home this is a great rug. Looks good and will protect your floor. All in all a great well made rug. Not cheaply made.

This rug is low pile and semi soft fiber. It's warm neutral colors will make your room feel cozy while hiding any dirt or stains. The fiber is not as soft as I would like it, as it feels more of an indoor/outdoor carpet. However, it repels stains (hubby has dropped ketchup on it and it wiped off easily) and makes vacuuming easy so it works great in a high traffic area. All my pets love to lay on it and their fur vacuums off easily too. I like this rug for my livingroom as it helps reduce the vibration my surround sound produces on my laminate floors. However, you will need to buy a carpet gripper to go under it, as it slides easily. The size is perfect to go in the space between my TV stand, love seat and sofa. It would work well with most sofa combinations I believe. This rug would probably work great under a small to medium size dining set as well.
