Mainstays Gold Nonstick Aluminized 12.5 in x 9 in x 2.5 " Rectangular Cake Pan

The light Champagne gold color of this Cake Pan makes it more attractive, to me, than the standard silver, or other colors, usually used for bake ware. It even looks kind of festive to me, because of the gold color, making me think how attractive it would look holding a holiday cake, taken to a church supper or a family event. It's my most 'glam' looking baking pan I have! I was also very impressed by how sturdy, and heavy, it is. This is a very well made Cake Pan that is not flimsy, or cheap-seeming, in any way. I would even recommend giving this pan as a gift to any home baker that you know! I love to bake, and made a homemade chocolate cake in it. This pan did beautifully! It will be my 'GO TO' baking pan, now, for every cake I make. The cake was baked uniformly throughout, was moist, tender, and flaky, with no burning on the bottom whatsoever. It was very easy to remove the cake pieces from the pan to serve. This Walmart MAINSTAYS Cake Pan also cleans up easily and well. I was very pleased with it, in all aspects of appearance, quality, durability, and performance. I highly recommend it, for all of these reasons! The label on it says that this "Superior Nonstick" Cake Pan is "MADE IN USA". It has a "2-Coat nonstick with added reinforcement for durability". The label also says that it is "MADE WITHOUT PFOA", that it is "Heavyweight aluminized steel" that "distributes heat quickly and evenly", is "Corrosion & warp resistant for lasting wear", and is "Dishwasher safe (hand-wash recommended)". [NOTE: "Do not use dishwasher detergent tablets; these concentrated cleansers will damage the finish. Use only nylon, wooden or rubber utensils."] It is 12.5 inches x 9 inches x 2.5 inches. It also comes with a 5 year warranty, from the date of purchase, under normal use! This is my new favorite baking pan.

I have baked and used and held many pans in my life. This pan is very sturdy and heavy. I felt it when I picked it up. I like sturdy decent pans because man there are so many crappy pans and stuff. I hate that. I am always looking for a good thick decent pan that will last awhile. I am definitely going to try to make my favorite Apple dessert and see how it holds up. Because the holidays are coming and so is the baking

I received this wonderful pan as part of the Walmart Spark Reviewer program. I didn't purchase it but from looking up the cost of this particular pan, $6.97, I have to say that it is worth more than that and it surprised me that such a great quality pan costs so little. Upon picking up the box for the first time when it arrived, I knew what was inside and I was surprised that a Mainstays brand pan was so heavy. When I opened the box I was pleasantly surprised at how pretty the pan is. The champagne color is just so sparkly and appealing to the eye. Another very appealing aspect to this pan is the fact that it is made here in the USA. That is just outstanding! This pan washes up easy-peasy. Leftover bits of food wipe out clean with a paper towel. It looks like you already washed it just after wiping it out dry. Like I said it washes up easy. The picture that I am sharing in regards to my new Mainstays Gold Nonstick Rectangular Cake pan is a tasty little pork roast with carrots and celery. The pork roast has a coating of brown sugar and even that sugar caused me no clean up problems at all. I can't wait to make more tasty dishes in this awesome pan!

This pan is heavy and has good weight to it. The coating is gold and even. I baked a strawberry dump cake in it and it came out fantastic. It says that it's dishwasher safe but washing by hand is preferred. It was easy to wash and is a nice addition to my kitchen collection. I also appreciate that it is made in the USA. Overall, it's an excellent pan and was a pleasure to use.

I made a batch of cookies using this pan it's non stick so that makes for less mess. I enjoy the size of the pan and that it has a little weight to it so it's not a flimsy pan. I'm looking forward to using this pan when making my chicken /rice dish. It's dishwasher safe a beginner friendly. Find your fave recipe and bake on I will be using this quite often as the holidays approach.

When I took this pan out of the box, I was amazed at how heavy it was. (A heavy pan disperses heat well and cooks evenly.) I wanted to see just how non-stick this pan really is, so I whipped up a cake mix and put it in the pan with no oil or anything, just straight-up pan. I noticed how spacious the pan is. I like this because sometimes I make a cake mix with extra eggs and have lots of extra batter. This pan will handle larger amounts of batter. I provided a picture of the pan and cake to show the cake removed from the untreated pan. I wouldn't recommend that, but I wanted to see how it did, I thought it did great. Any other pan would not have let go of the cake at all. I was able to put a tray on top of the cake and flip it over and had a perfectly good cake. I can't imagine how great a cake will come out of this pan if were oiled. I let the pan sit to let the cake residue harden because that is so difficult to clean off. Not with this pan. I put the pan in dishwater and very easily cleaned the cake off right away with no soaking. Besides the great non-stick surface, the cake cooked evenly and turned out delicious. I would like to replace all of my baking pans with this type of pan.

This pan is made well, it performs well, and it's easy to clean. This cake pan is made from aluminized steel. It's very heavy duty feeling. It's got a good weight to it. It doesn't deform with heavy items. The pan is 12.5 by 9 inches wide and it is 2.5 inches tall. The height is really nice, and the dimensions allow this pan to be used for a wide variety of recipes, not just cake. This pan is coated with a non-stick coating in a beautiful champagne color. The coating is made without PFOAS which I appreciate. The coating makes this pan incompatible with metal though, it can only be used with nylon, wooden, or rubber utensils to ensure the coating isn't damaged. As far as baking with this pan, it works really great. With the steel construction it heats very evenly, and the finished product has been perfect every time. With the nonstick coating food is effortlessly removed from the pan which is super nice. As far as cleaning goes the nonstick coating really helps make this process fast. This pan is dishwasher safe, but I find that hand washing is just as easy. There really isn't much scrubbing needed with the non-stick coating doing its job. All in all, this is a really nice cake pan. It's made really well, it works great, it heats food evenly, it's very heavy duty, non-stick, and it's very easy to clean and maintain. I would absolutely recommend it!

This cake pan has good weight to it and isn't flimsy like other cheap pans. The coloring is really nice, not the typical stainless steel or silvery look, but more of a metallic gold color. I haven't tested the nonstick capabilities since I always line my pans with parchment paper. It is recommended to hand wash and dry this pan though it does state that it is dishwasher safe as well, which is how I washed it. So far it hasn't effected it that I have noticed.

I am doing a review on the Mainstays gold nonstick rectangular cake pan. I am very impressed with the quality it is definitely heavy duty. I sprayed just a little nonstick spray before cooking a Mexican cornbread in it and it did not stick it all. I would definitely recommend this pan. I Wished it came with a lid for convenience.

It is a bit heavier than other pans I own. The first thing I read on the label of this cookware is aluminized steel. I found that aluminized steel is carbon steel that's been dipped or coated in a aluminum-silicon alloy. The alloy is to protect the pan from rust and for it to heat more evenly. Probably would need some use before I can realize the pros and cons. But I worry about cooking acidic dishes in coated steal. Feel uncomfortable with the coating might come off and get stuck on food.
