Mainstays Mixing Bowl and Colander Set

These bowls are fantastic! I received the MainStays mixing bowl colander set and I love them. The set consists of three bowls that nest inside each other. The bowls are made of a very heavy duty durable plastic. On each end of the bowls is a curved extended lip. The purpose of that lip on one side is to hold spoons or cooking utensils the other end is used for pouring. The bowls come in bright colors which are appealing to the eye. One of the bowls is a colander used to strain foods. I love the entire set. The variety of sizes is perfect for all of my kitchen needs! I highly recommend this set if you’re looking for multipurpose bowls. I received the MainStays bowls and colander set for free in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This set is just perfect for everything! The bowls are about 10 and 16 cups and the colander is about 10 cups- perfect for anything I would possibly need to use them for. I love the spoon/mixer rest on the large bowl because I only have a hand mixer- it's very convenient not to have to lay it down or prop it somewhere else and the same for being able to prop the spoon. The pouring spouts on both bowls are great and so are the 2 handles on the large bowl and the colander... especially the colander because the one I already had only had 1 handle which could be quite awkward and also painful with arthritic hands. Being made of silicon makes them stay where you put them- they won't be slipping or sliding on your counter and while they are lightweight, they are very durable feeling. The measurements on the insides of the bowls are a plus that I can see coming in quite handy. They wash up very nicely- I can't speak for a dishwasher since I don't have one but I imagine they would do just fine as they feel very sturdy. The price also can not be beat for 3 pieces that I see lasting me as long as I could want them to- very very pleased with this set!

I love this three-piece set! I love how the large bowl has a spoon holder or mixer blade holder on it! It worked well for both when I used it. The size is absolutely what I was looking for. The largest bowl is 16 cups, and the small bowl holds 10 cups. There are measurement markers on the inside of the bowls listing cups, quarts and liters. Perfect size for everything I need! They are lightweight, easy to clean up. And my favorite, dishwasher safe! I love how on the mixing bowls there is a silicone base to stop it from sliding on the countertop. The colander is also perfect. You can strain about 10 cups at one time! The three piece set also stores inside each other to save space which I find really convenient. I don't have a lot of storage space in my kitchen so this works out great. I've had other colander sets that are just so large there's nowhere to put them. I would definitely recommend this. Add some spatulas and maybe a whisk, some cake or brownie mix and you have a perfect gift set for Christmas!

I absolutely love this mainstays three piece mixing bowl in colander set. I have a smaller kitchen so I need items that are practical and do not take up a lot of room. This set stacks perfectly inside each other so that I do not have three different bowls sitting in the cabinets taking up a lot of extra room. Not only are they a perfect set that stacks well but The bulls have built in measuring on the sides of the inside of the bowl so you know how much ingredients you have in each bowl. I really love that both of the mixing bowls also have a pour spout to easily pour your ingredients out of the bowl. The spout to make it so much easier in no mess at all compared to regular bowls. It is made making pancakes so much easier pouring The batter out to make pancakes doesn’t leave a mess running down the bowl or dripping all over the stove they are very handy. The big red bowl also has a handle that allows you to rest a spoon spatula or whatever you wish to rest on it and so you do not have to get anything dirty or lay it down somewhere and it makes a mess. The bowls are really easy to handle I even use the handle to help me pour the ingredients out of the bowl which is quite nice. The bottom of the bowls have rubber on the bottom that helps them stay put and not roll or spill easily. The bowls and the colander are very easy to clean they’re made very durable and really nice. They’re great quality and very cute. This is a must have set for every kitchen you will not be disappointed with this product at all. The colander is absolutely amazing also the holes are perfect where I’m able to rent my vegetables fruit and salad perfectly and nothing is getting through the holes going down the drain and causing clogging problems. All three of the bowls are easy to wash dry off perfectly fine in store away without taking up a ton of room. I absolutely love this set and you will too.

I was happy to receive this MainStays 3 piece mixing bowl set with colander, in return for review. The colors are so pretty. The largest one is red and has a pouring spout on one end and a spoon rest on the other side. The gray one is a little smaller and does not have a spoon rest, but has a pouring spout. Both have a rubberized nonslip bottom. I love these, so functional and such quality. I will use the red one the most. I use a mixer for my mashed potatoes and this red one will fit all of them and a little extra room to add milk and butter and whip on high speed. I didn’t have a colander and forgot to look for one at the store. Every time that I make pasta, I would remember that I needed one. This one is a perfect size and the holes are just the right size to drain easily, but not let any of the pasta slide through. All 3 nest together for storage. This is a quality made set and I plan to be using these a long time.

These bowls are designed well and stack inside each other to save space. The bowls have pouring spouts that also make it easy to hold them. The biggest bowl has a place that can hold your spatula, whisk or spoon. The bowls are marked on the inside with cup / quart measurements on one side and on the other side liter measurements. The smaller bowl holds approximately 2.5 L / 2.5 quarts. The bigger bowl holds approximately 4 L /4 quarts. (the top marks do not come up exactly to the rim of the bowls). I appreciated that these bowls are BPA free and can be dishwasher washed. I also like the vibrant red and green. The colander has feet to help with complete draining. The colander looks nice enough to leave my fruit in after washing. My eyesight is not good, so I wish the measurements on the sides were easier to see, but other than that I am very pleased with this mixing bowl and colander set.

This set is a kitchen must have! Since receiving I use it almost everyday, where it's mixing something up or just draining noodles or washing fruit. They stack well for storage, and the bowls have a grip on the bottom so they stay put when mixing something on the counter or table. Washing is a breeze just toss them in the dishwasher!

I just love these mixing bowls and colander set in vibrant colors, and A surprise feature is the rubber grip on the bottom so while using they Won't slip. There is a built in spoon rest built right into the handles The sizes are perfect large bowl is 4 quarts and the small bowl is 2.5 quarts with measurements inside the bowls! The colander it larger than the ones I currently use, so I am super happy about that, no more Veggies spilling into my sink. I am really loving these and you will too!

These are alright. They are taller and deeper than some of my other bowls so they don't nest nicely. The rubber on the bottom is great, especially when they're full. The little feet on the colander are nice, rather than a rubber ring or some other way to lift the bowl up, since they're attached, and hard plastic. The spot/handles are odd on these. They're a little rough, and they stick out, which make these bowls even bigger. I would prefer if they were just holes cut into the side of the bowl instead, so save space.

I love this set of mixing bowls. The three bowls fit nicely inside of each other so it takes up less space storing. You get a large bowl, the colander (which is the medium sized bowl) and then a smaller bowl. But even the smaller bowl is not that small. The two bowls that are solid have measurement lines on the bowl. The larger bowl one side is liters and the other side is cups and quarts. This comes in handy at times. The larger bowl is a 16 cup bowl. The colander has holes on the bottom and a little less than half way up the side. The holes get a little larger as it progresses up the side of the bowl. The smaller bowl is 2.5 liters and then 10 cups. The largest bowl has a place on one side to rest a spoon. The largest and smallest bowl also have a spout to allow you to pour the items out of the bowl easily. The colander has a handle on each side to allow you to easily grasp and pour in to something else. I did drop this 2 stars because the largest bowl is cracked in two different places on the bottom of the bowl. I really like the bowls and it is an excellent concept but really disappointed that one of the bowls can not be used as a mixing bowl. The bowl does match my kitchen so I can still use the bowl as a fruit bowl or something like that. The two solid bowls also have a rubber bottom so the bowl doesn't slide around when mixing in the bowl. While I am disappointed that one of the bowls is not 100% up to par I would still recommend this item. I don't think this would be a common issue.
