Mainstays - Orange Square Plastic Tumbler, 18-Ounce

This green cup from Mainstays is unbreakable and would be perfect for a child. Info says it holds 18 ounces but it doesn't look quite that large to me. It would also make a quaint little vase for smaller summer flowers. That's what I intend to do with it.

I love my blue tumber! The weight is perfect for holding my bathroom essentials and is what I purchased it for. This tumbler is weighted well and the square platform keeps it steady and firm on my counter. I can see this also being great for kids as the square bottom will help with "tumbling over," no pun intended.

This is the 18-ounce square plastic tumbler in teal from Mainstays. I like Mainstays because of their affordability. I love this particular plastic ware set because you can mix and match and get an entire plate and cup ware set for very inexpensive. This is dishwasher safe and BPA free. This is the more translucent colored cup. There are more solid colors and a wide selection of colors available at your local Walmart and online. These are also great for kids.

This cup is very nice. Perfect size for a quick drink, keeps things cold as it is thick and your hand warmth doesn't transfer through to the drink. Seems very durable as my child drops it all of the time. The color is one of my favorites. It brightens things up. Great product and great value.

These dishwasher and microwave safe cups are really good looking! I am a petite lady, and even though these cups hold a lot of liquid, they feel good in my hand. They don't stain, even with fruit punch, and wash up well. The color is bright and cheerful.

I was looking for beverage serving options I could take outside without fear of having glass shattering on the driveway and sidewalks. So metal or plastic is the typical choice. But metals do not do a good job of keeping beverages cold unless insulated, and that makes them unattractive for serving guests. So plastic it is. The Mainstays product line has always been a go-to for us and never have had a problem with any of the line. When the 18 ounce square tumbler became available, it looked like just the right answer. One, being squared versus round makes it a bit more attractive. This tumble is made of a solid color slightly flexible, yet sturdy, plastic material. At 18 ounces you have room for a good amount of ice along with an entire 12 ounce can of your favorite drink. The four corners of the tumbler are rounded so, if you are like me, it is less challenging to drink from the corners rather than the wide flatter sides, lol. The matte finish gives it just enough grip that even when condensation builds up you can have a firm hold. It is definitely safe for outdoor use, and you need not worry about breakage by either clumsy adults (like me) or children. This material is a solid red, not opaque at all. And bonus! There is no plastic taste or smell to it when drinking. Like all plastics it gets hot in the microwave. I am planning on getting a full dozen to use when entertaining outdoors.

I received the matching blue plastic square bowl instead of the tumbler... oh, well. It wasn't a big deal to me that the order got mixed up... I mean, it wasn't like I needed the cup (or the bowl). I wanted the plastic cup because it seemed like something that would hold up to a toddler. These are the Mainstays brand, and in-store they actually sell these as a packed set of like 4. They're inexpensive and durable for a family with young kids.

Heavy plastic construction and stack up very nice . Would be great for outdoor activities or for events with kids. I dropped it on a ceramic floor and it bounced well but didn't break. My only regret with getting this is that I did not get a full set as it would have been ideal for family camping trips.

The Mainstays 18 oz square tumbler is a solid choice for reusable drinking cups. I also have the circular tumblers and like the quality of both but prefer the square aesthetic. I use these tumblers at my water dispenser as a reusable more environmentally friendly choice rather than throwing away plastic cups. These tumblers hold up well with coke and hot beverages and are dishwasher safe, even with high heat drying. I will probably buy more of these tumblers in smaller sizes for the water dispenser so there is a choice.

As a drinking cup it's a little awkward to use. Has long flat sides that make it difficult to get a good lip seal so I'm bringing in a lot of air with my drink. The corners are too small to use as the edge to drink from. This cup would work better as a vessel for solids like soup or ice cream. It has a large capacity. Very stable base so no worries about it tipping. Textured feel for some degree of grip. I wouldn't use for sauce or other tomato based foods because I feel it will stain easily. Overall it's ok but will never use as a cup for drinking.
