Mainstays Red Rainforest 16-Piece Dinnerware Set

I spent over $200.00 for an eight piece setting last year. They were square and I thought they were beautiful, but they did not have a lip on the plates. My husband would not eat off of these plates because he likes to eat in front of the television, so he used an anchor hocking glass pie plate. Every day he whined. I was walking through Walmart and saw these plates, large, high lip , coffee cups were the size of mugs, so I bought a place setting to try. He raved about them, so I ordered on line. They came inless than a week. I have had 2 groups of family over for dinner and my oldest daughter went and bought a set of her own. Thank you, mainstays! I don't have to listen to a crabby old man , after 45 years - you want them to watch the tv.

If you are thinking of buying these dishes just go ahead and buy before they sell out. I ordered 2 sets and am going to order more for backups. They are the perfect size and weight and the color is fantastic. I ordered the Aqua rainforest. They came very well packed and not a single one was chipped or broken. The mugs are true mugs not just cups. You will love them!

I had been looking for a new set of dishes for about 3 months. I was so shocked at the prices I was finding! So high. I decided to look on the Walmart website and found this dish set. They had good reviews, were priced right, and looked nice. I LOVE them! The color is beautiful and they are nice and heavy. So happy I went with these dishes. They are awesome!

I love the the raised lip on the plates and saucers. Dishes are not delicate, a little heavy but this is a plus for me. The color is very nice and looks great with my pioneer woman table linens. This set is exactly what I wanted

The dinnerware set is beautiful. I love the dishes, the large dishes are deep enough so that food will not slip off. The cups are fantastic, not the small cups that are usually with a set of dishes, they are Mugs, great size for coffee drinkers. The coral color is beautiful, exactly what I expected. If anyone purchases these dishes that will certainly not be disappointed. I bought 1 sets.

Solid stoneware dishes in a lovely color Crayola Crayons called 'Indian Red', slightly brown and not tomatoey. (The pictures are pretty accurate). Note that you may want to add a smaller complimentary mug, as well -- the ones from the set are very large, perhaps even large enough for soup mugs or serving chili. The lip on the plates are actually very nice and we're still able to stack the dishes with no problem. My last dishes chipped right away, but these are doing great, so far. Thanks Mainstays for another winner. Love 'em.

I love the lip on the plates and the size of them.. and how big the cups and bowls are.. I have used them in the microwave and washed them in the dishwasher without any problems.. Love the cobalt blue..

I had recently purchased 4 sets of the Moose decor dinnerware that was square. Hubby hated the square, so I saw these at the local WM, but they were out of stock on sets. I love the size of the plates with the big bowl like rip. The coffee cups are way too big for me and that is why I did not give the whole shabang 5 stars, that and they do get a bit warm in the microwave. Love the aqua color!

Love the color and the deep dinner plates. Hate it so much one of the bowls was broken because it was sent to me in the original shipping carton. Naturally something is going to break if not packed good. Not starting a return, not sending back because the same thing might happen. Taking the loss.

For the price, this dinner set is a steal, but the bottom rim of the dishes were rough a ended up scratching my wood table. It's as if the bottom rim was not glazed to make it smooth. I'm not sure if this is a defect on the two sets I ordered, but I will be returning both sets. The color is beautiful and you can't beat the price, but due to the roughness of the bottom rim I would not recommend this product.
