I am so glad I bought this nice unit for my kitchen sink. I have always hated things that sit around the sink and hold soap. It always seems like they are messy to keep clean and to keep filled with soap. THIS ONE IS PERFECT. Just unscrew the pump, pour in the soap, then screw the top back on. That's it! I have pumped it a lot and it never ever drips when I release the pump. It never ever causes any slimy film around the outside. It is amazing. I plan to pick up another one just in case they ever run out of stock the same time I need one quickly. I keep one of those plastic sponge scrubbers in the tray, and that adds a bit of color. When I wash the unit, it doesn't even need it, really. You will definitely be happy with this one...just grab it and stick it under the Christmas tree with your name on it. It will be just like getting a nice gift...so just do it. You do the dishes, so you deserve it. And because the plastic is sturdy, you shouldn't have a problem if you accidentally drop it into the sink. You'll love the clear plastic design that lets you see inside, also.

I've needed a soap dispenser for a while. I got sick of seeing the dish detergent bottle on the counter all the time. The mainstays dispenser is a nice decent size. Not to big. It holds a good amount of soap and it also holds your sponges. I would have liked to see some sort of drainage for the sponges with a little tray you can take off for emptying. Also, you cannot take the bottle out it is glued in so cleaning the sponge area can be a problem if the soap bottle is full. Otherwise this is a great alternative to the dish soap bottle always hanging out on the counter. I get great use out of it.

This soap pump does work as an inexpensive dispenser. It is lightweight, which may or may not be a plus to you. What I find the biggest drawback is the sponge holder has no drain holes and in no short time will be full of gunk. And you can’t remove the bottle to clean. It is all one piece. So I don’t think it is very well designed for long term use, but fills a need for short term use. So on the plus side the pump worked great which is the most important function.

Soap bottle is glued to the tray and is not removable. Poor , cheap design. Would not have purchased if I knew the soap bottle was fixed to the tray and could not be removed.

Soap is leaking from the junct of the dispenser. It was a product of the main stay company that I liked, convenient, compact, and my favorite, but I'm very sad. Soap is already in it, so it's difficult to return it. What should I do?

Plastic but passable for plastic. Problem is it does NOT work. No matter how many times tried it is difficult to press down and the dish liquid will NOT come out. Terrible product

The bottle does not come out so you have to tip the entire thing if using for dish soap or you have to hold dishes up to it to put soap in them. Also, no way for water to drain from the “sponge/soap” holder so it collects in the bottom.

This thing is completely cheap and impractical.
