Mainstays Soft Velvety Yarn, 315 yd, Light Blue, 100% Polyester

For velvety yarn this yarn glides so smoothly! I've made stuffed animals, clothing items and blankets with it. I've tried velvety yarns from other craft stores such as hobby lobby, and Michael's and they have more color options but their yarn does not compare to how soft Walmarts is.

This is a beautiful blue (even better than shown), so I've ordered 2 more to finish a larger blanket. It looks excellent by itself or paired with true white. I'm also buying a set of gray %26 white for a second blanket. I originally purchased this yarn for its softness…I'd lost my hair due to chemo and all the hats I'd tried irritated my skin. So, I made a few hats out of this yarn and bingo…no more itchy head. I then made a few more and passed them out to some of my “chemo friends”…they were a hit. One small challenge: Items made with this yarn run warm, so try before you buy/make a lot of stuff with it. I hope you enjoy the cozy softness from this yarn!

Absolutely recommend it's super duper soft. Mainly use for small projects/things you want to make that will be a smaller size because it is pretty thin (in comparison to my usual) I've made a few things with it and I love how soft and cute they are.

Love this yarn it quickly became one of my good cheap top yarns! Did amazing with pilling and very good with magic rings as well! LOVE THIS WILL BUY MORE! Great for beginners!

Needed this to go with the clearance pink I had bought (because I didn't buy enough). It's perfect and the velvety softness is amazing. I wish it was a tad bit heavier/thicker, but I'm still happy with it.

I love this velvet chenille yarn. I use it to make amigurumi and scrunchies. I find it comparable to Bernat Velvet and Juicy Couture Luxe Velour/Cuddle Craft Velvet, but a much better value per yard.

This yarn is a high quality product and is easy to work with at half the price of name brands and looks just as beautiful.

Yarn is as velvety soft as described. Lovely feel, but, like chenille, it sheds fluff easily. It also breaks easily if too much strength is applied. Was dismayed that every skein has a knot, as if the yarn broke when it was being wound. Also had a hard time finding the beginning end.

This was a substitute for RHSSmetallic yarn. Not at all what I wanted.The people selecting sub for yarn don't have a clue. Second time in a week. Time to buy yarn elsewhere.

Sent me the wrong yarn! Purchased white chunky thick yarn and this is what the store sent me! Now I'm stuck with yarn that I cannot use in my project. Do not recommend store pick up at all!!
