Mainstays Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set

I took a good look at my old nonstick cookware and decided that I wanted to replace it with stainless steel cookware. It’s kind of scary realizing that the coating has been coming off the old stuff for years and I have been blindly using it. I always thought that cookware needed a coating in order for food to not stick to it. I have used all of my new pots and the frying pan and they are wonderful! It could be my imagination but it seems like water boils faster in the pots and that canned vegetables taste better being heated up in them. I used the Dutch oven to boil a good sized chicken for my dog and it fit in the pot good and the water didn’t boil over. It did a great job and that was the first chicken that I have ever boiled in my 56 years of life. I am really impressed with this set and the utensils are great also. I was intimidated by the long handles and size of the utensils but they are very useful.

It is a beautiful 10 pc mainstays pot set. I have already used the largest pot to boil potatoes to make potatoe salad for my family! It took long lasting boiling for about an hour. There were 6 potatoes in the pot! I was excited to use it. The smaller sauce pans are great with the lids I am completely satisfied with this mainstays 10 piece pot set! I cooked 3 fried eggs and a grill cheese on the small frying pan! I absolutely love my little frying pan! I can tell by the well-made pots that they are going to last a life-time!

I really love this set. Cannot stand "brushed steel" as it seems to hold food particles that are difficult to see and clean off. Shiny is better because dirt cannot hide. These are good quality as well and the price is excellent. The utensils that are part of the set are okay, I've had better, but they are 100% serviceable. Good stainless steel that doesn't rust is getting hard to find, but this set is really good. Had 2 other pots made in India the same as these and they haven't rusted yet so when I saw the set, I jumped on it

Please note to take special care needs to be used when using on electric, gas stoves. These pans are designed for induction stove tops and will not tolerate high heat over long periods. If boiling items bring to boil and lower to lower heat level and continue cooking. Unlike most stainless steel this will scratch and stain if care not given but for $30 for this fixed income senior needing whole set of pans and utensils was just right.

Overall, it’s a good product. It’s made of polished steel, which looks great. What I like the most is that it’s all steel, including the handle and lid, so there are no plastic components. It can go straight into the oven. The size is acceptable, but I would have preferred a slightly larger pan (diameter). However, it’s good for cooking for two people. Note: The lid for a large pot also fits the frying pan, so it’s a shared lid between two. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s worth it because there are no plastic components. My only complaint is that one of the lid handles has a dent since it was delivered for free, I accept it.

The Mainstays Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set is decent for the price, but it definitely has its pros and cons. The set looks nice and polished, and it heats up fairly quickly, which works fine for basic cooking. The pieces are lightweight and easy to handle, and the variety of pots and pans included makes it good for starter kitchens. That said, the quality feels a bit on the thin side—food tends to stick easily, and cleanup isn’t as smooth as I hoped, even with oil or nonstick spray. The handles can also get hot, so you need to be careful. I’d say this set is best for occasional or light use, not for someone who cooks daily and needs heavy-duty cookware. Overall, it’s an affordable option that gets the job done, but don’t expect professional-level performance.

They look great from a distance, but the closer you get the more you realize how cheaply they wer made. All of the Utensils are all extrme;ly thin, so you can not apply any pressure on them or they bend, All the pots are also thinly made and the tops had screws to hold the knob on top and therefore began to strip right away.

Used once, and the pot developed black pits in the bottom. I used to have a restaurant and still have stainless steel cookware from 30 years ago that is in decent condition. Purchased this set for home use. This set won't last 6 months. Never used high heat, either. Only boiled 6 eggs. Just EXTREMELY low quality.

Look wise, utensils looks fine, but usage wise it has multiple problems, utensils base is very thin and handles are shallow and one of the bowl base is not flat also. Spoons handle edges are so sharp that, it is hurting hands, we are not all using those spoons.
