Mainstays Stainless Steel Cookware and Kitchen Combo Set

I am a 37 yr old woman. These days I look for tools to save me $$$ and do the job. I don't need crazy expensive pots and pans. I am not a chef and not being paid to cook...lol I needed a new set and they were a fantastic price. Granted they are not top of the line and you cant possibly expect the world at a price point of $39.99 but I love them. I had 1 dented lid knob but that was it. A couple of pots had the black metal grease on them that someone had mentioned. Just give them a good scrub by hand and then thrown them into the dishwasher. They are fine. I never had black water like someone else said. I have had them for 1-2 months and we use them daily and we like them fine to cook and eat :) As far as eggs or anything that will stick just get 1 pot and or pan that is a non stick for that use. I just saved 1 old non stick pan from my old set just for that and now have a shiny new set. I am grateful for the price point and they really are cute. I love the 3 bowls, and 3 utensils that came with the set. Thank you Walmart!

I travel for work and bought these to be a travel set. I did not have high expectations and wanted something cheap just to make soup, pasta, and such. I was very surprised at the quality of this set! For the price, I'm certain you would not find a better basic set!

This set is unbelievable. It has everything you need starting off on your own. Several different size pots and stainless steel cookware and utensils. The pot comes to a boil fast with the three ply base that heats evenly. The set is dishwasher safe. I love this set . I've seen sets similar to this at warehouse stores and name brands that costed almost two hundred dollars and didn't have as many pieces.

Mainstays Stainless Steel 24PC SET is absolutely wonderful. I love all the different things it came with. It has a wonderful casserole dish that comes with a rack that fits a good size meatloaf or whether you would like. It also comes with four little dipping bowls with lids, so you can save sause that you have left over. I have found out that if you cook something on a gas stove and it gets to hot it will stick to the bottom. When it comes to washing, the food comes off very well as of right now. They are also dishwasher safe. If you take care of then they should last you a good while. I love that all the pans come with lids that fit perfectly. So if your looking for a big set and want to save money at the same time get this. It would make a wonderful gift as well. I would highly recommend this.

These could be a good, affordable set for a college student or someone moving into their first apartment. That said, they don't seem like the kind of stainless steel that will last forever and get passed down. I've used them for a few meals now and they seem to cook evenly. They're all on the small side and perfect for making meals for 1-2 people. They've gone through the dishwasher without any problems but heads up that the shiny finish definitely shows fingerprints. The lids have a nice, tight seat on the pans and they're easy to clean because they don't have a ridge for water or oils to get stuck in. We are really excited for the Dutch oven because it is a PERFECT popcorn pot! My biggest cons are that they're super light weight and the rivets holding the handles on feel a little flimsy. My chef boyfriend picked them up and found that the handles on all the sauce/saute pans wiggled back and forth slightly straight out of the box. He's afraid to use them and have a handle fall off causing a potentially painful mess. I could easily hand bend the three utensils that come in the set but none of them are really meant for heavy lifting so probably not an issue. A hardcore cook should probably look elsewhere but for someone making individual meals I think they're worth checking out.

so i ordered these pots and pans as a "last minute" thing. i went to pick up my items, and realized they were like children's toys. don't get me wrong, i love the material and the design of them. i just get down with the size. however, i do take some blame because i didn't read the description at all. again, it was a "last minute" thing. as said before, i love the stainless stain material, it allows me to cook my preferred way every time. i also love the design because it gives me a classic feel. i recommend buying the 18-piece instead because you will definitely need the extras.

These pans look like they have a kind of thick base, but they do not. They are stainless so it's nice to not have to worry about what kind of utensils you use with them but they discolored after the second use. No coatings to worry about scratching is about the only upside. Everything scorches or sticks. I would not recommend these pans.

Those pots and pans were so cheaply made that the FIRST time I used each one (on medium heat no less), the metal corroded and pitted immediately. I was horrified and returned them which really stunk because we didn't have any others as backup and are still in the process of trying to do enough research to find something that won't repeat this terrible experience. Please do not buy these, even if they don't pit on you or corrode, they are clearly made of inferior materials that could be harmful to you and your family.

It's been only 2 days I bought these and I used it ptobably two or three times and they already started to get black and brownish. And also when I bought this I did pay attention tht their handles are not covered so they get really hot really quickly.

This cookware set, doesn't even deserve ONE star! When I picked up my package.. EACH POT had dents and scratches in it, like it was already used! The pots are stainless steel.. but they feel like garbage. The quality is terrible. I'm extremely disappointed. I usually enjoy Mainstays products.. but this.. this was not even thirty dollars.
