Mainstays Stainless Steel Hard Boiled Egg Slicer, White/Gray

I make a salad a few times a week and I add a boiled egg. Normally I just use a butter knife or fork to cut it up and it gets really messy. This cut my egg perfectly, no mess, and literally takes a second to do. Kind of like using an apple slicer, instead of making multiple cuts, it just takes one pass through. You can cut it short way or long way. The cut up pieces stay in place after you cut. The sliver parts are not blades, they're more like really strong wires so it's safe to use and easier to clean. Definitely recommend!

This is a great egg slicer. The space where the egg lays is large enough to have other small items like tomatoes etc. I've used it a few times to make my life a lot easier. The steel “strings” are sharp so you do have to be careful as you could hurt a finger if not paying attention.

As an avid salad eater I don't understand how I went so long without having one of these, I got it because I wanted to be able to make egg slices for my salads and been wanting one for a long time but never got around to getting one. I was just using a knife, when you use a knife the Yoke usually crumbles and makes a mess and doesn't look that great but this egg slicer makes perfect thin egg slices every time, no crumbles nothing wrong at all. Also I found that, as an egg salad lover, slicing the eggs first. makes making egg salad much much less messy and easier. I haven't had any issues with cleaning it although I see it could be difficult if you really do have to clean it but it seems to rinse off pretty well after each use. If you don't have one of these I definitely recommend getting one,

I have always wanted one like this. It works great. Just drop in your hard boiled egg and close the top and you have it. Nice even slices. This will be great for salads, or sliced eggs. It has steel wire so each slice is perfect. Just rinse it off and it is clean and ready for the next time.

For me, this is the perfect egg slicer, plastic but solid, and uses fine but strong plastic cutting wires. It has soft grip handles and a 2 position cradle, so it works for small to xlarge eggs. Easy to clean, easy to use, and you both slice and DICE the eggs into perfect sections. This is a great kitchen tool for the egg lover in the kitchen.

This Mainstays Egg Slicer is a very handy, useful kitchen tool for slicing hard-boiled eggs. My old egg slicer is going on 48 years old now, and since it's made of lightweight aluminum, it tends to bend easily; losing its shape where the egg sits. I've had to bend and reform the shape of each slat after each use. Now, this Mainstays Egg Slicer is made of hard plastic; very rigid, very strong, and keeps its shape. No more bent or crooked slats to realign where the egg sits! Great! The thin wire cutters slice through the egg effortlessly and give you nice, evenly sliced egg slices; perfect for egg sandwiches, or to decorate the top of a salad or casserole. The wire bands are real tight; not flimsy or loose. Clean up is a breeze; I hand wash the slicer in hot soapy water; swishing it around, then rinsing. (It's also dishwasher-safe in the top rack.) This egg slicer is a vast improvement on my old, aluminum slicer, and hopefully, will last just as long.

I love this egg slicer. It's sharp and easy to use. I love that it is easy to clean and use. It has two position cradle for slicing and dicing. I love that it is easy to care for and can be washed in the dishwasher. Excellent product that is well made. I love using it to help me create amazing dishes quickly.

Was really happy this egg slicer showed up the other day. Had just cooked up some hard boiled eggs. It was quick and easy to use and clean up too. Like the rubber feet on the bottom that holds it in place. Slice by laying egg sideways in the cradle, to dice flip it longways and slice again to create the dice. One small mention is, when slicing either way the end of the towards you often gets caught in the front but it really didn't change the look of you are doing slices for salad. (I was using large eggs) Overall good buy!!

I was super excited to try out this new egg slicer but unfortunately I was extremely disappointed upon my first slicing attempt. The strands that are supposed to slice the egg didn't even make it that far. They bent and stretched out of place as I was pushing the top down. I had to throw it away before I ever got to properly use it. I would not recommend this product.

I ordered a new egg slicer for my old one finally broke on the plastic clip that holds the top metal slicing part. Broke from a drawer slam when drawers get struck. It was @$3 20 years ago, when products were a little more but built well compared to now all companies using cheap China mfgs. So i read the reviews on this, dome good and dome bad but its well know brand MAINSTAY, which Walmart sells
