Mainstays Traditional Solid Navy Youth Shag Indoor Area Rug, 5'x7'

This shag rug by Mainstays is great to add to any room in the house. Ideally marketed for youth, with the dark blue color, it can blend in most rooms of the house, or at least be a color-pop focul point of a particular room. It's a 5x7 rectangular shape which is not overly big and is made of 100% polyester. The backing is made of latex, which is somewhat rubbery that keeps it from sliding. It's slightly plush and feels soft and therapeutic to the feet. It says it's stain and fade resistant which is great, but is it kids resistant, I suspect not. What I also like about this rug is that it is skid resistant and machine washable. Rugs we've owned in the past were not, and does cost a bit to get it professionally cleaned. It looks and feels quite durable and should last a while. At the moment, we have it in the formal living room and compliments the decor really well. Overall, it's not a costly Persian rug, but a decent rug to lay down in any room. It's soothing and soft to the touch for all kids, and even big kids. Highly recommended.

I did get this item but it was from a different driver then the one that delivered my order. so I want to give this driver five stars for going out of his way to make sure I got my item.

Needed an area rug for a playroom and this one is perfect. Easy to clean and lightweight, but holding up to the wear and tear of several children playing on it. Great value for the price.

This rug is a great value for under $50. It is soft to walk on, the backing is a nice non skid rubber type and the edges are well finished Overall this rug is way better than I thought it would be when I ordered it, I'm very happy with it.

For our purposes, this is a really nice indoor area rug. The blue is deep and vivid, the grip on the back keeps it in place on our LVP flooring, and it ties the room together and makes it feel cozier. When I hear "shag carpet," I think big tufts of carpet that are impossible to clean - that's not the case with this at all. For better or worse, this rug isn't thick, fluffy, or plush. We vacuum it with the same setting as the rest of our flooring. It keeps the feet from getting cold, but be aware that this isn't really a soft or luxurious rug! If you're looking for a spot of great color, or just something to prevent your feet from stepping on a cold floor, I'd certainly recommend this. Good product overall.

I can see the white backing under the navy shag while I am on the floor. I thought there was something in the shag, but it was just the backing under the shag. I think the shag is thinly placed. But the rug is pretty in my space and the price was right.

I bought 2 of these rugs a couple months ago to put in my kids' room and they wanted a 3rd so I ordered the same exact product and for some reason the color is very different. It also arrived dirty.

My rug came unwrapped and i didn’t like that. So i don’t know where it had been or what could’ve gotten into it.
