Maker's Mark whiskey offers a delightful experience with its rich, smooth flavor profile. The balance of caramel, vanilla, and subtle spices makes each sip enjoyable and approachable, perfect for both newcomers and seasoned whiskey lovers. Its slightly sweet finish lingers pleasantly, leaving you wanting more. A true standout in the world of bourbon!
Picked up this bottle straight from the Maker's Mark distillery in Kentucky, and it made the experience even better. The bourbon is super smooth with a warm caramel finish and zero harsh bite. You can taste the quality, but it's still approachable if you're newer to bourbon. Worth the trip and worth the pour. 🥃✨
Myself and my husband really enjoyed this bourbon. It is very smooth and sweet, and easy to drink. I am not usually a big whiskey drinker but was pleasantly surprised, I enjoyed this both on the rocks and mixed into a whiskey sour. It was a wonderful lockdown treat after a long day! I would buy this again and would recommend this brand.
Balanced, refined and even elegant. Starts out sweet, a corn sweetness, followed by powerful oak. The body is rounded. Soft flavors. Black cherry makes an appearance. Oak re-enters with charcoal and makes for a cleansing of the palate in a very fresh fashion. The finish is long. I am impressed! Oak and a little brown sugar/charcoal remain and zing for quite while. There is no ugly burn in the throat. Just warmth.
Absolutely gorgeous. I don't usually drink Bourbon but this makers mark is lovely. The taste is of butterscotch, a charred oak, and sweet honey. It's very smooth to drink and has a long lasting taste. I don't quite know how I managed to avoid it until now but it's a beautiful slow sip kind of bourbon, extremely pleasant flavour and it just gives you a nice heat when swallowed unlike some I've tried. I do like this one with some coke, some don't taste quite right but this one is lovely. I would totally recommend.
Being a avid drinker of American Whisky's and Bourbons, I had tried Makers Mark in the past and enjoyed it, but moved on to different brands, as i prefer variety rather than buying the same brand again and again. Thanks to Bzzagent's campaign I have had a chance to revisit the product and I am not in the slightest bit disappointed. Drunk straight, there is a lovely rye spicyness but a smooth vanilla note overall. Not too strong @45% but enough to remind you that you are drinking a real whisky rather than a run of the mill mixing liquor. Ill definitely enjoy the rest of the bottle and keep it in mind for future purchases down the line Cheers Makers Mark and Cheers Bzzagent
Maker's Mark has become one of my go to bourbons. The red wax on the label always makes it feel a little special, and the warm amber color looks great in the glass. It has a smooth, medium body with that easy sweetness Maker's Mark is known for, caramel, vanilla, a little oak, nothing harsh. I like it neat or with a couple ice cubes, and it also mixes really well when I'm making simple cocktails. Overall, it's a solid whiskey for pretty much any occasion, whether I'm just unwinding at home or having friends over.
Makers Mark has it's own definitive taste, you can definitely pick it out from it's rivals. The whisky itself is just right this means it makes a great sipping whisky on the rocks, but if you do like to add anything else it goes nice with some coke, adding that caramel taste to a nice blend. The bottle is very unique and I've never come across this before, i really like the hand dipped wax seal on the top.
We tested Maker's Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky. The packaging is really eyecatching with the lid having eyecatching detail. We first tasted this neat with ice and then with a bit of lemonade. I prefer it with lemonade. It has a strong clear taste that lasts on the tongue. Not a favourite of ours but we would buy it if seen on offer
The first time I tried Maker's Mark was at a new American-style bar that had just opened in my town, and it immediately stood out to me among the other whiskeys on offer. Where many bourbons can lean heavily into spice or harsh oak, Maker's Mark feels softer and more inviting. It has a rich, buttery mouthfeel, balanced by a gentle sweetness with notes of vanilla that never overpower the palate. Compared to other whiskeys I've tried, it's noticeably smoother and less aggressive, making it easy to enjoy without rushing the experience. The finish is warm and lingering rather than sharp, which gives it a sense of depth without being overwhelming. It's the kind of whiskey that encourages you to slow down, savour each sip, and settle into the moment — the perfect start to a meaningful conversation with the person I love.
