Great upgrade from the brushed motor model.
If you are already invested into the LVT battery line up - this is a must have saw. I have the other 6-1/2" cheaper saw (can't remember the model number) but it has the plastic blade guard. This saw spins so much faster, which makes for better and quicker cuts. It's also brushless, vs the old brushed motor design. Just an overall step up from the old saw, which at the time, was a great saw too. I like my Makita stuff!

Greatest saw ever for a Framer to have!!!!
This little Makita saw is the greatest tool to drag around the job with you. The hook makes it so easy to hang or put it in a spot to free your hands up. Everyday at work this is with me and I am a framer that cuts a lot of wood and this things is awesome. I have both Makita 6-1/2” saws and this one with the hook is amazing!! If you think you want it get it because you will love it.

Best saw I've owned!
This saw is amazing it cuts very smooth & has many bells & whistles. The motor sounds very tight & ramps up when you need the extra power. Best saw I've owned! General Contractor
