We got these to make snack bars out of. The cereal didn't last long enough to do that. The grandkids and us gobbled them up, too quick. M
Big enough to last awhile, we eat a lot of cereal in my household. No one complained about the favor, it was very close to the real thing. Actually this was better because this cereal wasn't to sweet and there was enough for multiple bowls!
Decided to try Marshmallow Mateys. I've always been a fan of Lucky Charms. I found the cereal (anchors) less sweet which is great because it's sweet enough from the marshmallows. It is a good balance! I also tend to shy away from "bagged" cereals because they are often crushed or broken inside. Mateys were packaged very well, and I found NO BREAKAGE ! Malt-O-Meal has won me over!!!
We love Malt-O-Meal Cereal!!! I originally started buying this brand because as a large family we can literally eat a bag a day... and we got more for less money... that being said we all fell in love! Many of their cereals are better than the brand names!!!.... and some brand names have gone into collaboration with Malt-O-Meal! OH also the seal is amazing!!!!... for those of you who have little ones or lazy ones in your house that can't physically roll down the cereal bag into the box! No one likes stale cereal!
I love they bagged the box.You can see what you are purchasing. Our local grocer charges, again, nearly $2 more per bag than Walmart(They too a large chain store). As a parent, you try and give your child/children good, nutritious foods. We purchase this more as a treat than a meal.Whole Wheat is good for you.Added sugar, well, not so much.Malt-O-Meal is a company and product I trust to offer the best ingredients possible. This balanced later with green leafy vegetables, a protein, provide the nutrients need for a daily diet.Diet meaning food needed to live, not loose weight. It arrived free from damage.Shipped free due to order size and the delivery driver brought our package inside for us.This is greatly appreciated.
This cereal is better than lucky charms. Lucky Charms has too much dye in the marshmallows and had less marshmallows. My daughters poo turned blue from eating one bowel of LC and doesn't experience any digestive issues with Marshmallow Mateys... that says a lot... just saying!
Always check price-per-ounce if your store offers that. Not all Malt-O-Meal Cereals are much lower than some General Mills, Kelloggs, Post and other name brands. In the case of the Marshmallow Mateys, I actually prefer the taste over Lucky Charms.
the box cereal was packed with the capri suns and crushed the cereal. Would hope that next time common sense is used. Other than that do appreciate the free shipping.
In comparison to Lucky Charms these just don't make the cut. The marshmallow are exactly the same and still delicious, however, the cereal pieces don't taste very good. My younger kids don't know the difference but my older kids won't eat this unless it's the only cereal available. -Packaging quality was great. -The price is great. -But those cereal bits are not great.
It looked like this package had been thru the ringer the bag was all crushed . I will say it is normally not like that but lately with the bag cereals there seems to be more and more problems I think some of the shady characters out front are coming in opening bags eating some then putting the bags back . If you don't really check it good you could get short changed. I've thrown out two bags in the last few months .
