I'll never make homemade tamales again, these are delicious and way more meat than I expected. These are cheaper than making them myself too and without all the work. I heated them up in a steamer, nobody knew these were store bought but after the compliments i told them i didn't make them. Wish id tried them sooner
I bought pork and beef. I'm not wild about chicken tamales, not even in authentic Mexican tacos. I found the meat to be moist, not dry. I can't tolerate spicey foods, but I do love authentic Mexican cuisine. Tamales are one of my top 3 or 4 favorite food to eat. I love the corn flavor of the masa, or the tamale dough. I heated mine up in the microwave according to the package directions. I would have done it on my own and covered them with a wet paper towel anyways. I did have some mild salsa on the side, even better. It's like Mexican food tolerates a building up of flavors. Sour cream, salsa, chopped fresh cilantro, a few lime wedges too. My only question is: do they make breakfast tamales? I love pineapple the best. But the ones with sugar and cinnamon are very satisfying. I really like these, now I won't have to make my own any more. I'm getting old and decrepit to wrapping all those tamales. I bet my rice steamer would do great to heat these up too.
I liked these tamales because there was a nice amount of masa, but not too thick like most commercial tamales. They were very close to the ones I used to make myself.
Even better than the beef tamales. So tasty and full of flavor. Add a little crema and its perfect.
I wish they were a little cheaper or a larger size. but they're excellent!!!
They were just ok I wouldn't get them again but they're cheap enough to try once to see if you like them
Good taste but very tiny my husband needed to eat 3 to make one larger normal tamale more like snack size
The tamales are imposters. Well that what you get from shopping Walmart. They were half the size of the standard tamales. Dry mostly Masa . These are nasty!
Terrible flavor, pieces inside the tamale that had to be spit out as they would not chew and it looked like plastic.
the taste is disgusting,i can't describe the taste.
