I've been researching robot lawn mowers for the past year or two and looked at several different brands. Mammotion's Yuka Mini checked all the boxes for me. As a single female homeowner, I really wanted something that would be easy to set up and maintain — and this did not disappoint. Setup was super straightforward, and the app makes everything simple. I was initially concerned about the charging time, but the mower completely handles that on its own. It returns to the base to recharge when needed and then picks up right where it left off. I don't have to think about it at all. The lawn looks consistently neat, and I love not spending my weekends mowing. It's honestly a game changer. I'm extremely happy with this purchase and have had zero issues! Couldn't be happier.
The robot lawn mower has been great so far. Setup was very easy (I much preferred the manual vs automatic so I could ensure it made straighter lines). Toughest part was finding a place on my house to mount the GPS antenna, but the app kept telling me if the spot I chose was good enough. I don't run it on a schedule due to dogs, but it's easy enough to manually run. Surprisingly fast and quiet for it's size. And I love how clean the mowed lines look when it's finished. I would highly recommend to anyone over a lawn service.
Wow, this is amazing, set up was easy, just guided it around the perimeter of my lawn. I turned the speed up to #2, it cuts around the perimeter perfectly, and leaves no lines on my lawn, very very quiet. I named my robot "John" after my late husband. I built a little shelter for it, now my hubby is in the doghouse. lol
This mini does a fantastic job. I am in Florida and have some Sandy spots Roscoe gets stuck when turning. But that has been the only issue. I am wondering if the luba mini 4x4 would work in those spots? Maybe Mammotion would give me a great deal to buy the luba mini 800 for the sandy areas. 😂 But honestly folks you can't go wrong with the Yuka mini 800. I have had no issues with having tree cover either. Oh did I mention he mows in the dark as well and you can view the action from the onboard camera? Just an awesome robot mower for the average lawn! The 800 has the larger battery which is a plus! Thanks Mammotion for a great product at a great price point. I did a lot of research before I made my choice!
I highly recommend this robot mower. It has surpassed my expectations. The mow quality is really good. I've had to interact with it a minimal amount of times. With that said, since getting that beard, I strongly recommend buying one. The interface is very easy to use. It's easy to set up, and it seems to be made of high-quality material and well thought out.
We are thrilled with this amazing robo mower. Very easy setup and it’s mowing great. We mapped out our area and set no go zones for obstacles. He is mowing perfectly. It’s wonderful on those humid over 100 degree days. My husband has nicknamed him “slingblade”. Packaging was spectacular, which is rare nowadays. So glad we took a chance on this new technology. Worth every penny and more.
Loving it. I bought this when there was no review on it. I had seen positive reviews elsewhere. Arrived much sooner than the expected delivery date. Great purchase so far. I wish Mammotion has bags for this smaller Yuka Mini. Also I couldn't get to buy Warranty on the app. Would try contacting them directly for that.
This little guy was extremely easy to set up and start using right out of the box—I'm a 61 y/o lady and I had Daryl, as I've named him, out mowing the lawn in about 25 minutes from the time I opened the package. For reference, I use Daryl to mow my front and side yards, about 0.35 acres of flat Bermuda grass with few obstacles. It was very easy to map out 4 mowing zones, no-go zones around my trees and flower beds, and channels connecting the mowing zones (task areas). I originally planned to use him in another part of my yard with a slight slope and less well tended Bermuda grass, but he really struggled, so I'm handling that area with my trusty push mower. Nevertheless, I love turning over regular maintenance of all the curb facing areas of my lawn and I run Daryl pretty much every day, alternating between my task zones. I think he works better when he's only trimming a bit at a time rather than a week of growth and I love that my lawn always looks freshly mowed. I would highly recommend this—just schedule him to trim things every other day and keep it fresh looking and easier on your robot. Pros: —extremely easy set up —lightweight —not glitchy; you tell him what to do and he does it. I've not had software errors and such —the app is wonderful; you can keep tabs on his work from anywhere, even away from home —so many options for cutting height, mow pattern, etc. I've settled on the checkerboard and even though it takes longer, I love that buttoned up look —battery life is great. He can complete each task area pretty much on one charge and then toddle back to his garage for a refill (highly recommend a garage for brutal SC summer sun) —obstacle detection is amazing. He easily maneuvers around my dog and his assorted toys —the edge cutting is nice. He gets in nice and tight so I don't have to do a lot of edging cleanup Things I don't love: —he's kind of sensitive about little dips and ridges in the yard. If he goes over a big weed or clump of crabgrass (I'm working on it!!!), he will fuss about his front wheels being lifted and if he can't get situated after a couple tries, you get an error on the app and need to rescue him. I expected this with actual divots or holes or ridges—he's not AWD—but he can get hung up on some pretty insignificant things. I've been marking the places he goes wonky and either digging up weeds or filling dips in with dirt and I hope it improves, but if your yard isn't essentially flat and smooth, you'll get annoyed with his hang-ups. —he's not great with weeds. The cutting deck is literally whirling razor blades, works great on tender grass but tough weeds just kind of slip through and bend and somehow avoid getting cut. He's amazing on the Bermuda but I'm going to have to tackle my weeds before he can really cut the whole lawn. Best for: —people with currently well manicured, flat lawns who want to set and forget their routine maintenance.
Fantastic mower for very small yards. The RTX is probably the hardest thing for people to mount. You can't have a lot of trees or shaded areas. When I say small yards, I mean very small. The main reason for returning the unit is because our lawn met the size requirements but it took over 10 hours to mow part of our yard. We bought the same one with a bigger battery and much happier. Mammotion makes great mowers, just size up to the bigger batteries if you're near the max size.
Good for a well maintained yard but it's not great for a backyard with weeds and rough spots from big dogs playing. It has a hard time with rough terrain. It also doesn't do well with weeds. But it cuts yard grass great! I need to upgrade I guess
