Despite not being a horse, this is the best shampoo I've used on my own head, and it's not a horrid stench the way most human products are. Love it. Definitely not a horse.

I have very long, thick, straight hair that reaches well past my waist, so I'm careful about the products I use. When your hair takes this long to grow, you want something that helps keep it healthy without weighing it down or leaving it looking flat. Over the years I've tried a lot of different shampoos, but I always find myself coming back to Mane 'n Tail. It cleans thoroughly without stripping my hair, leaves it feeling soft and manageable, and helps maintain the healthy shine and bounce I want. One of my favorite things about it is that it lets me comfortably go about three days between washes. Anyone with long, thick hair knows that wash day is practically an event, and drying it takes even longer! Having a shampoo that keeps my hair feeling fresh a little longer is a huge plus. For my hair type, this has been a dependable favorite for years, and I don't see myself switching anytime soon.

Best way to buy if you can and use often. The cost savings is great,and Walmart ships right to your house. This shampoo is fabulous on your hair and also on your beast friends hair (dog)

I've been using this for a year now and was so glad that I can buy it in Walmart way cheaper than anywhere else. I find this better than the leading brands out there because it keeps my scalp and hair very healthy and strong. It also stopped the amount of hair fall I get before and after brushing my hair. Pairing it with the conditioner help my long locks silky smooth as well.

ive been looking for my ride or die shampoo and conditioner for years, and ive finally found it!!!!! within one use i noticed a difference in my hair. previously id been using renpure and it was weighing my hair down and making it look greasy. i couldnt go two days without needing to wash it. now that ive been using the mane and tail shampoo along with their texturizing conditioner, my hair hasnt felt this good in years. for context i have extremely processed hair, from years of bleaching and dyeing and low quality products. while obviously not a miracle product, i cant recommend mane and tail enough. it took my hair from greasy and flat to voluminous and shiny. my hair is so much softer and healthier now, i dont think ill use any other shampoo. even though im still dyeing my hair monthly, this stuff keeps my hair from falling out. i recommend this shampoo to literally anyone who will listen.

I've been buying this shampoo for years. The 32oz bottle is a good value. I'm not a judge of shampoo, but it seems fine. I was asked to rate the scent; I really don't notice a scent when I'm in a shower with the water running, so I don't know if it even has a scent, or either a good or bad scent. I was also asked to rate the "lathering", which I also can't do well - - I can say it does produce a lather when mixed with water, but I can't rate the quality. Also, the amount of shampoo that's used would play a role in that. All I can say is that it's fine by my standards.

my girlfriend and i born just this on our hair as well as on our pitbull. gives a beautiful shine but also strengthens the hair and you'll be surprised at how much gaiety it grows. make sure to follow up with the conditioner. you won't be disappointed!!!

This is best shampoo i have ever used. My scalp felt better after just one use and I've seen so much improvement after just a few months. My hair was thinning and my scalp was getting brittle and dry but now it feels amazing and I'm already seeing new growth. Now I know why my father insisted on using this shampoo for years.

I found this line of shampoo and conditioner many years ago. It was recommended to my Dog who loved her long black curly hair. Myself, I have long flowing hair to my shoulders, so I used some with apprehension, hoping I wouldn't go full Kojac! Anyways, ever since then it has been MY favorite shampoo brand on the market! And ever since then, I've NEVER gotten another DOG!

I have been using this shampoo for about a year. It cleans and makes my hair shine. Later when I started using it on the dog, the dog's hair is also soft after each wash. Use the conditioner, too. Using both help greatly with having manageable hair.
