Marathon 350-250-8 Bore Tire

I bought two of these wheels to replace the junk ones on a Harbor Freight "Bigfoot" hand truck that were disintegrating. Other than being slightly narrower than the OEM ones they were an exact fit and should last the rest of my lifetime. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

It's a wheel, what do you expect?! Doesn't have the welded on spacer that most wheel barrow wheels have, but that's a simple fix.

Adapted these to fit my 175# broadcast spreader, was ALWAYS getting flats while using spreader preparing food plots, not to mention leakdown from just setting around. These tires performed outstandingly while liming, fertilizing and seeding 3 one acre food plots!

This weel/tire combo was the perfect solution to fixing my neighbor's wheel barrow. No strugling to mount a new tire and tube on the old wheel... just remove the old tire/wheel and take the new onr out of the box and presto chango. The wheel barrow was back to work in just under 5 minutes.

Tires themselves are ok. Only two concerns... make sure you buy the same size as what you are replacing and be aware you will probably need "spacers". I had to cut pieces of copper pipe for use as spacers. It would be nice to offer user defined spacer size for sale with wheels.

This is a very well made wheel and it even has a grease fitting for the bearing. It is not exactly soft like a pneumatic tire but it is softer then a hard rubber tire, it is sort of in between. I used it for a wheel barrow wheel and it worked very nicely. I needed a wheel with a 1/2 ( One half ) inch bore bearing but none was available so I ordered a pair of 1/2 inch replacement bearings Item # 189432. They come as a pair for just a few dollars and I used them to convert my wheel to a 1/2 inch bore bearing. It was very easy to do and only took about five minutes using only a hammer and a flat head screw driver. Dean

The wheels on wheelbarrows have extended bosses on the ends of the hub where the bearings are mounted. This extended length enbles the wheel to center itself between the two handles carrying the axle mounts. This wheel will require one to manufacturer spacers to place on each side of the hub to keep it centered. Not a good fit!
