when i bought this bench i was afraid that would be some thin metal tubes put together, but to my surprise this thing is built tough. im 5'11, 285lb, and this bench is the perfect size. my only gripe with the product would be the packaging. it came in a torn box with parts sticking out, luckily no parts were missing but if they dont fix the packaging it will happen to someone. putting it together was fairly easy, but im technical and the diagram was pretty straight forward. someone not mechanically incline however might have trouble, so get a friend to help you. the bench also folds flat, but its still about 20in high so you wont be able to put it under your bed. you can put it away in your closet, just be careful when lifting as the wheels will make it slip from under you.
Better than expected for the price. Very sturdy, easy to move through the settings, and comfortable. Being 5' 6" and 150 lbs, this bench is perfect for me. A lot of the other reviews noted the difficulty of assembly. This is not true. Took me 45 minutes and that was only because I didn't read the instructions before starting. I had to go back and loosen bolts to adjust the alignment. After that, tightened them back and it's solid, no wobble. Didn't give it a 5 for durability because I've only had it for 2 weeks. But it seems like it will last a long time. To sum it up....for the price, you won't find a better bench.
Great value even at a higher price. Goes together fairly easily, but I like assembling things and read directions well. Everything well manufactured and fits together as it should. Impressed with beefy parts noted as I was assembling it. Does not rock, squeek, shake etc. when throwing weight around on it no matter what the back setting. Frankly, much better than I ever expect of a Walmart item.
He LOVES it. Sooo useful Being able to move easily around our basement using with the universal as well as alone allowing for many workout options
Very versatile. Couldn't wait to get it!!!
Good for a basic home gym. Went together with a moderate amount of effort, directions could have been a bit better but nothing tragic. They give you the allen wrenchs. It took about an hour to assemble and I use it every day. Feels sturdy. I am 250 Lbs. Not dissapponted.
Sturdy, solid bench. Easy to adjust. Easy to assemble. Good padding. Minor flaws: *The back doesn't adjust so that it's perfectly flat with the seat *When you completely collapse the back down, the support bar will scratch the frame. They should've put an extra hole and retaining pin (I store mine upright). *Not very smooth to fold down the front leg due to friction. Would've been nice to have some plastic washers where the bottom two legs connect.
Pros: -This bench is well constructed and sturdy. I feel comfortable with using some of the heavier dumbbells (40-60lbs) without fear of bench failure. -Assembly was fairly easy. On a scale from 1 (legos) to 10 (ikea products, space stations) I would put it at about a 3.5. -Quality of the bench materials (except the bolts). Cons: - Hex key bolts seemed to be made of jello. I managed to strip two of them with minimal effort. Watch out for the amount of torque you apply when tightening. Note: This bench is a great home workout bench. It is not a commercial grade bench you'd see at 24hr fitness. I would just recommend keeping that in mind when shopping around for benches in this price range to keep yourself from being disappointed with quality.
I am very satisfied withe bench, but have some comments for you to take into consideration if you decide to buy it. I inventoried the hardware and of course a few washers were missing. I had to improvise and used some washer I had in my toolbox. If you are not mechanically inclined, stay away from this as you will have to put it together from scratch. I estimate it took me about 45 to 50 minutes to put it together. One last note, the wheels are not position correctly. So when you try to move the bench, the side legs will drag unless you light the bench really high from the handle provided. Other than that, I like the bench and it seems of very good quality. Would have given 5 stars, but with the missing hardware and the wheel issue is a not go.
Extremely reliable, durable, everything I Expected and more. Set up was decent a bit confusing because of lack of instructions provided. Took about a hr to set up. Thats the only reason im not giving it 5 stars. Worth every penny and more, lol. I weigh 240, and im 6"2 and it supports me with no issues.
