It's been a while since I purchased these meals and it seems the quality has fallen quite a bit. I do not expect this to look like the picture on the box, however, I do expect to see each component in the tray seperately. Instead what I have had for 3 of these is a soupy pile of something. No distinct stuffing, mashed potatoes, or turkey to speak of. Just everything in a brown pile that resembles what one would get in a vientam era military MRE after too much water was added. What is here tastes fine for turkey dinner stew, but its hardly what I would call Roasted Turkey Breast & Stuffing. Looks like I need to find an alternate. I won't be getting these anymore.
Tough little bits of turkey and a tasteless mixture of shredded carrots and green beans made this new version of a roast turkey dinner a serious disappointment, compared to earlier versions. Mashed potatoes and gravy with dressing were palatable, but there was no dessert. I suspect the changes are due at least in part to tariffs. I doubt I'll be spending any more money on Marie Callender's frozen dinners.
I opened the box vented the plate. Put it in the microwave for 6 minutes once I took it out of the microwave oven i noticed there was very small amount of vegetables. There was no mashed potatoes, big glob of Turkey dressing all clobbed together and a few pieces of turkey. Not the b usual quality of Marie Callendar. Very disappointing. I took a picture and unfortunately on this page It doesn't give you the opportunity to attach a picture so you can see exactly what I saw when I took it out of the microwave.
Dinner is fairly tasty, but the instructions to stir the mashed potatoes & the turkey/stuffing separately is laughable. After cooking, the mashed potatoes are a runny mess and are completely mixed in with the turkey/stuffing. Please consider putting the mashed potatoes by themselves n a separate section.
I have never left a review for a frozen meal before but felt compelled to look up to see if my experience with this product was a unique, solo event. I see now that it is not. I agree with the other reviewers who stated the packaging is deceptive -- it is. I'm no stranger to frozen cuisine and understand the food marketing and actual product will differ, but this is ridiculous. The flavor is just okay, but the textures and portions are completely pathetic. The stuffing is like a paste, the vegetables seem to have had all their beneficial fiber and flavor processed right out of them. Turkey is more like what you find in a cat food tin. Hospital mashed potatoes. If I were you, I'd skip this one.
this turkey breast and stuffing was great but even when you open one up, it is totally different looking and very soupy and the great taste is not there anymore. And lately, none of the stores I shop at carry them anymore.
I will never try this meal again. It was terrible. It was much by the time I stirred it up just enough to get the cold part of the meal. It was if I was eating a very cheap... frozen meal... by mistake. I hope you realize the product should either be replaced or discontinued or IMPROVED!! It's no fun to eat MUCH.... NO FUN AT ALL.
These used to be good a few years ago. The last few times I bought one in the hopes that they've bounced back, I've gotten some watery gravy with a spoonful of runny potatoes. Maybe 4 little squares of meat, and 2 bites of flavorless grean beans. No more. Do better!
If I could give this no stars I would. I always liked Marie Callender's Turkey with Stuffing frozen meals---until today. I had stopped eating them about a year ago just because I was making an effort to eat less processed meals. But I made a mistake and purchased two. Never again. The mashed potatoes were just a watery mess and the stuffing just a small inedible glob. Why even bother putting out such inferior 'food?'
There are a few easily fix problems with the Marie Callendar's turkey and stuffing meal. First, and foremost, is that you put the mashed potatoes, turkey and gravy all mixed up together. This is a huge problem for the mashed potatoes because the gravy combines with the potatoes into a disgusting, grotesque slop. Next, you stupidly recommend to stir gravy, potatoes and stuffing “separately”, which is impossible (guess why). The fix: create a new container where the potatoes (or gravy) are separated from the rest, just like the vegetables.
