Keeps my betta happy and his water stays warm. He swims alot more now and seems better than ever!
I have owned other betta fish and have had no problem without a heater but one I got my new betta Junior he was super stressted. His water felt very cold so I decided to buy a cheap heater to see if it woud make him less stressed. I worked and now I have two one for each of my betta tanks. I love how chap and nice they are.
I got this small watt heater for a paludarium tank that I have a red claw crab in . It's is mostly land and about a gallon of water only on one deep end . The small heaters from pet store caused the water to get too hot since little water and not full tank . This little heater is keeping my crabbies water nice n warm like he needs . Very happy and so is he!!
Works oerfect for my bettas
I like this heater is perfect for my 2 gallon tank. My house stays around 69/70 which was too cold for my betta. I bought these heater and keeps the water tank like around 8/9 degrees higher than the room temperature. Be careful if your room temperature is high then this will make the tank water very high.
It's good for a beta small tank
Works great, a little to good. Had to set up a timer so it didn't over heat my fish.
I read many reviews about this heater and agree with other posters... I have a .7 bowl and I had to put the heater on a timer, 2 hrs on, 1 hr off, repeat. Otherwise, it was too hot. Heat rises and the top half was 86 degrees. With the timer, its a perfect 76/78-ish at the bottom, so about 80 toward the top.
No heat adjustment and it gets too hot for a smaller tank - thank God I kept checking the temperature. Do not buy
The description is misleading. The heater DOES NOT have a build in thermometer, so it just continues heating until you unplug it. I'm not sure where a heater that is always on is needed, but for a betta fish tank, I would not recommend this, as it would have baked my fish if i wasn't watching a thermometer.
