Disappointed
Right out of the box the Max-Jet is obscenely loud. Ive tried it in all sorts of configurations with not difference in audible noise levels. Im currently using it as a utility pump for moving water from one place to another and wish this pump was a bit quieter. Performance of the 1200 is adequate for my current usage and that is why I gave it 3 stars.

Good for like 55 gallon tank
Works but get the 1200 if you have a hundred or more gallon tank. Struggles in my 125. Definitely depends on flow you want. 125 gallon not that much. 55 gallon tank would probably be perfect. Bought a couple was going to be for my 240 gallon but even with two I would only be able to do my 125.

Undecided
Planned to use for a powerheadbut its really really loud and vibrates alot. So I just use it with the impeller and not the propeller. Maybe its just a bad unit. Was a let down for that reason.

Just Terrible
I have gone through a total of 7 of these in 2 years!!. Both the 600 and 900 models. Have just ever restart reliably and 3 of them have completely seized and you can't even get the impeller out as the casing seems to have swollen around the magnet. So tight it's impossible to get out. Wasted a lot of time and money on this brand. I should have listened to everyone else when they said it would bite me in the @$$. So frustrated. Even replacement pumps have failed exactly the same way.

Noisy
Maxijet 1200 - After one month of use very noisy and vibrating. Cleaned the parts no improvement. Contacted Marineland and they never got back to me. Marineland - Do you read these reviews?
