The person that did the shopping for me that day put the pie on its side and it certainly got scrambled. So instead of cutting a piece of pie I scraped it with a spoon but other than that Papyrus delicious and I would certainly buy it again and hope for the best out of it
I love this pie in the clam shell! Unlike the pie in the box… The pie remains intact even one delivered to the house… And it just seems to taste better. I love the fact that it comes in its own container so I can put it back in the fridge without having to find one. Excellent apple pie… And a nice, soft, delicious crust. Love it!
This is usually a great pie. The apples are cut a little thicker so the filling has some body. It's not mushy at all. The crust is usually very good. However, I have gotten pies that were packaged before they had fully cooled. When this happens, the crust, unfortunately, loses all of its integrity.
This pie is absolutely delightful in many ways. It tastes homemade, the crust has flavor and is soft. The filling is not the gooey stuff like you find elsewhere. The apples are a medium crunch which makes to very enjoyable.
Crust baked just right - not soggy on bottom. Apples a nice uniform slice - not mix of chunky and thin. Nice light sauce with a light but tasteful cinnamon taste. Hope next pie just as good.
The crust and apples have a good taste that is not too sweet, but some of the apple slices are way too mushy. it seems the bottom apple slices are very soft and more like applesauce. That is my only complaint on the product, but Walmart is always out of stock when i want to purchase it.
It's hard to rate because it seems every time I order it arrives damaged. Apparently they don't train their employees not to carry pies and cakes on their side or upside down. They always get delivered severely damaged. Also they don't put ice cream in a cooler or cold bag and it arrives in liquid form. Common sense, ice cream in a hot car for a one to two hour period is not a good combination !
The new plastic cased apple pie is a huge step down from the old boxed version. It was undoubtedly made to cut costs for Walmart. The crust makes up the majority of the pie now and is completely flavorless and can be described as a mix of unflavored animal crackers and cardboard. They also cut back the amount of apples in it, which are now much harder, and sweetened the filling substantially. It’s like a gel almost. It’s now on par with a Sara Lee or Marie Callender’s frozen pie, if not worse. Such a shame, the old version was my favorite grocery store apple pie that I bought religiously. Profits, profits, profits…
I cancelled my Walmart plus membership. Every food order I placed there was always a problem. One time 9 items were missing. I recognized food that was supposed to be fresh expired the next day. I was told that I saved $96 in a year. That amount was $8.00 a month not counting the drivers tip. So it definitely not worth the aggravation. Think twice before joining Walmart Plus
This is the worst apple I ever had in my life. The apples were hard. There was no juice in the pie no cinnamon flavor. It was like to buy just put apples in a pie crust. It was Bank logging up and they were still juices. It was terrible. I would take it for free, but I’m so disappointed
