The cake is very, very pretty. The little white candy decorating balls are very hard and crunchy; we picked them off. The raspberry? You have to go pretty far into the cake to find it in the middle. But it was good
Delicious cake %26 buttercream icing, but the decorative white nonpareils used are hard as rocks/inedible and had to be scraped off to avoid breaking our teeth. Raspberry filling was just a scrape of jam, needed a bit more all the way to edges.
the cake itself was very tasty along with the icing but the filling tasted like a cheap jam. The sprinkles that were on the cake that look like pearls, are as hard as a rock leaving it impossible to eat any of the frosting on the outter part of the cake!
The cake, filling, and frosting are wonderful, I love wedding cake. The candy pearls that were used to decorate could be left off. Pearls were so extremely hard, it was like they added gravel to the frosting. Pearls are not for people with fragile teeth.
Decorative frosting has large %26 tiny solid white balls that r so very hard they really will break ur teeth (marble like). Plz be careful, and do not let Mom %26 Dad or anyone w/teeth/gum issues get their hands on it!
The cake itself looks very attractive with the little white sprinkles. Unfortunately, those little white sprinkles are hard as rocks! I ended up scraping them off to spare my teeth! Yet the cake itself was lovely and very tasty.
Sadly, the cake was dry and tasteless. Frosting was not creamy, not fluffy, just sweet with no flavor. I couldn't detect even a hint of almond anywhere. The total amount of raspberry filling couldn't have been a full tablespoon because it was spread so thinly (maybe a 3" circle) bordered by a deep ring of frosting. As for the decorations, the beads look pretty but do not work for eating. It was an extremely disappointing end to an at-home anniversary celebration. It says this is freshly baked, but I do not believe that. The majority of this thing went into the trash.
The candy ball decorations are very unpleasant in your mouth. They are too hard to chew up and too big to just swallow. They may look nice on the cake but ruins the pleasure of eating the cake. I threw most of it away.
This cake was terrible. I almost broke my tooth on the cheap nonpareils. The cake was mostly cheap frosting, nonpareils, then a small amount a cake, and about a dime size amount of raspberry filling in the center. Dime size might actually be too generous, it was small. Hard pass.
The cake was fine, but I'm not sure why they used what were essentially flavorless jawbreakers as sprinkles. They added an unpleasant texture without contributing any taste.
