I love my pecan pie, and this is as close to my homemade one, except for the crust. The crust was dry and crumbly. At first, I thought maybe its just this one time, nope its the crust. Overall taste great. I would break off the crust, just as you would cut off the ends of a sandwich, if I were you. I don't add pictures unless they are paid reviews.
haven't had pecan pie and a number of years. so pick this one up to try. it is very good, super super sweet. I'm used to the old fashioned ones where the cans are through the entire pie not just on top. this one has the pecans on the top and then underneath that layer is almost like a thick pudfing kind of layer with no pecans in it. Don't get me wrong it's delicious but it's not old fashioned like Grandma used to make. I recommend for a treat once in awhile
It's not my Moms. No one can make as well as Mom. BUT! this is pretty darn good. When I have a hankering for a good pecan pie, I look no further than the bakery section at Walmart. The filling is perfect and topping of pecans is plentiful. The crust is where they can't beat my mom's. But y'all give her a good run for her money :)
I eat the little pecan and a small box every night the big pecan pie they sent I didn't even want that but I tried it and the pecans were so big and they were hard I couldn't even eat it and the crust was too hard I've tried this once before a while back and I can't remember what it was something wrong with it but anyway I rather have my little pecan pie from Walmart eat it everyday so I highly recommend it the little box ones not this
I would recommend this item if people like their pecan pie on the salty side. The crust was perfect it looked great I just didn't care for the salty taste. I've had pecan pies none of which non tasted the salt in the filling. The pecans were half pecans I think the caramel was salty the crust was perfect
It's a little too sweet, as are most of Walmart's pies, but noticeably so only because they tend to be short on other flavors and spices that home bakers use, and their crust is mid. However, the ratio of sugar paste to pecans and crust is just right, and it does really fill the craving for pecan pie. Best of all, Walmart is offering it yearlong, and it is actually better than many of their other pies.
This expires on 4-6-26. That is 4 days. Need to have whoever is doing the shopping to check the dates. I wouldn’t buy it if I was shopping. It was for my Easter dinner. The cheesecake was too but the date on it is 4-326. So that want be happen. PLEASE check the dates
This was the most disappointing pie I've ever had. it's all corn syrup, no pecan. They just had a thin, 1 pecan thick layer on top for show. I usually love their bakery items but this is an obvious case of shrinkflation and it's negatively affected the taste.
this was my substitute for Marie Callender's pecan pie. I will make sure that doesn't stay on my substitute list because all of the crust was destroyed when I received it and it is so dry! and there is barely was single layer of pecan across the top of it. would rate it zero Stars if possible.
Maybe I don’t like pecan pie. Maybe this is what it’s supposed to taste like. My family wanted to try it since it’s always on a Thanksgiving menu. Instead of buying all of the ingredients and making it, I decided to try this. Warmed it up in the oven for a fresh baked taste. We all spit it out. It’s a gelatinous sugary gross filling. I love pecans. I tried to like it, but even my dog turned her nose to it. Maybe one day I’ll make it homemade and see if it compares.
