Apple Pecan Salad. Wow! One of the best salads to date ! The Salad. Is not only delicious it's a superior product. With pecans and Apple pieces and a sweet delicious dressing ! It's marked as “new”. I hope Walmart will continue selling this amazing delicious salad! I could seriously drink that amazing sweet perfection that is their salad dressing and all for under 3.00 dollars ! Don't miss trying this salad !
This was surprisingly delicious! My first time trying one of these salads. The dressing was on the sweet side but in a good way. It had enough crunch, the chicken was tender, the greens were fresh and crisp. I could easily eat one or two of these weekly!
This is smaller than the salads available thru your local fast food drive-thru, but it is big enough to make a filling lunch. AND it only costs about 1/3 what those salads sell for! This version is my favorite of all the variations Walmart carries. The greens have always been fresh and crisp, providing a nice contrast to the chewy cranberries. The chicken has never had pieces of skin or cartilage, and this has more pecans than even dine-in, sit-down restaurant salads. I generally use my own raspberry or blush vinaigrette, but that is due to personal taste preference. I'm looking forward to getting the all-clear on salad stuff so I can resume buying these, NOTE: Due current parasite contamination, I am avoiding uncooked produce
the salad was big it was so delicious but there was a problem on top was you know like the chicken and the cheese so I saw that there was no salad dressing so I had to get some of my own and then when I was almost finished down at the bottom was the little bag with the salad dressing all right next time I think that that salad dressing should be on top so I can know that it's there but it was delicious
That dressing ties this ready to eat salad together with great flavor. Marketside has done it again with a flavorful combination that is no prep needed and delicious.
Decent quality IF they are picked with extended dating. There are times that they are received with current expiration dates so there is no time available to store for a few days. That's the ONLY issue I have. It's a crapshoot depending on the picker.
The problem is, whoever has been making these to go salads lately has been using A LOT of base of the head material. It's hard, white and often browning. These pieces are inedible and now I have to look through the salads to weed them out. If this is your new policy to save money, let me know because I was buying at least three a week but am now questioning that.
I love salad with apples, pecans, and feta, but somehow this one just didn't work for me. For starters the lettuce was past its prime with a few leaves getting slimy, but I didn't reduce the score for this. I think it was the dressing that ruined it for me. It was too sweet, lacked balance and complexity. I will not buy this flavor combo again.
Tastes great and fresh ingredients but the compartments are only partially filled. Not at all like the photos. If it was full, this would be 5 stars.
I've tried this version as well as the Ceasar and Chef salads. I was very sad to find very old wilting lettuce on the bottom of the bowl and more of the bitter center of the leaves than the edible lettuce. Won't try this type again.
