From the oven ready stores came these twin demi baguettes, pale at first yet destined for golden glory. Baked within the hearth of the modern oven, they rose crisp of crust and soft within, forming the perfect vessel for hearty meats and bold provisions. When split and filled with shredded roast and fiery relish, they held firm beneath the weight, neither collapsing nor surrendering to juices. Crunch at first bite, strength throughout the feast. These are not dainty rolls for light fare. They are built for sandwiches of consequence. Kitchen of the Realm Verdict: Forged for the Hearty Feast.
This bread is so god. The loaves are small enough for dinner for two. It bakes quickly and is crispy outside with a soft center. I buy this all the time, bake one, and freeze the other. The price is fabulous. The bread is always fresh tasting, even after freezing
Was looking to save money by making subs at home and decided on this bread. It's so good! the bread is thick yet soft. It does not get all soggy with the topping on either. I've ordered it multiple times an the bread has been fresh. It being a baguette the outside has a nice crunch when toasted.
These demi baquettes are perfect for my small household. Quick in the oven while the rest of the meal is plated out and not only comes out fresh and warm from the oven, but also smells and tastes delicious. Bake one for now, freeze one after wrapping well for another meal!
I love this bread. And it freezes well. It’s good with soup and even salad. A lot of the bad ratings talk about it molding. I’ve never had that problem simply because when I get it home, I immediately put it in the freezer. When I get ready to fix one of them I put it in the toaster oven for about seven minutes on 400. You don’t even have to thaw it. We like ours crusty. But if you like softer bread, you might want to check it earlier than that. I buy this regularly.
Perfect to freeze and can make fresh-baked baguette at home anytime. I don’t bother to thaw them, just put frozen baguette in the oven while it’s preheating and start the timer when the temperature hits 375° and it comes out perfect, crispy outside soft inside, in about 20 minutes. 🇫🇷
Who doesn't love fresh bread? The Walmart bakery does a wonderful job of always having fresh bread available. It's not only available, but it's available for a great price! The bread is delicious and it comes in so many forms. I particular like these rolls for sandwiches. I highly recommend the bakery services. So good!
They tasted very good. I didn't realize when I ordered them that they would only b good for a few days. I went away overnight for Easter %26 had to heat in oven %26 eat in a couple days. I ate one loaf %26 put other baguette in freezer so it wud not go bad.
Only buy it yourself in the store, inspect right away, no matter the expiration date and use it right away! Mine had an “use by” date of 01-20-26 and I tried to use it for Sunday brunch, 01-18-26 and it was moldy all over. It was not opened and I stored it in a cool place. Absolutely disappointed, especially since the guests were already here and I didn’t have bread!!🥖
The bread is at its best by date today, the entire loaf has spotty green and white mold all over it. I am not driving a half an hour to return bread that cost $1.89. We are done shopping Walmart. Everything I have tried to return, is perishable and we go to town once every two weeks. By the time I return this bread, it is going to be pure mold. Last time it was a perishable that had toilet bowl cleaner all over it. I wasn’t returning that either.
