Marketside Berry Chantilly Cake is SO yummy and delicious!! The cake was super fresh and tasty. I definitely recommend buying the Marketside Berry Chantilly Cake. The layers of vanilla sponge cake with a mixed berry are filling and rich. Well worth the money.
I seriously hesitant to buy this based off of the reviews. But I'm so glad I ignored them and purchased it. I had it delivered with my Walmart order to my front door and it was absolutely delicious. I wish I would've bought more! I will be buying this every week!
I first tried the single slice that was almost 5 dollars. I'd always heard about this type of cake but never had tried one so I decided to try that slice and it was so good so this time I actually got the bigger one because per ounces it was a much better deal and I know I liked it.
This was such a good slice of cake to have with my morning coffee. I have a bit of a sweet tooth and this was lovely and expertly balanced it's a good serving size for one or two if you're more modest than I am. The berry flavor was tart and sweet. The icing was delicate and smooth. The cake was more dense than fluffy and altogether it tasted divine.
this cake is amazingly delicious! I'm so glad it comes in a single small size serving because otherwise I would eat the whole entire thing! The only drawback is the cost, almost 4 dollars for this small piece of cake is ridiculous, you could buy enough ingredients to make two cakes, however… For someone who has trouble with portion control, this is a really delicious dessert that you cannot overindulge so that is why I buy these single servings instead of buying enough product to bake my own! I would be too big to ever leave the house again.
Not bad for a fancy layered cake and less frosting topping. Instead my palate gets to enhoy more cake and fruit filling. I hate to pay so much for any cake where almost half of the overall cake is smothered with frosting. I rather pay to enjoy the cake and moderate layers of fruit or fruit tasting layers of fillings. Scraping mountain high topical frostings is like wasting half of what the cake cost. Would I buy this particular cake again, yes.
This was good… that's about all I can say? IF it was literally half the price, I'd probably be giving it 5 stars… but for almost $4.50, it was a ridiculously small piece of cake!! It wasn't even what I would call delicious. It wasn't bad tasting, but it wasn't really good either. I think it is WAY OVERPRICED! I will never purchase this again and couldn't, in good conscience, recommend it either.
I ordered mine online, so I couldn't see it. I guess it depends on who makes it and packages it because my piece was half the size of the container-very small. Not as pictured. The taste was light and fresh. The price was definitely high for the small piece I received.
This was light and the texture I was expecting. However, the light blend for the layers tasted exactly like the grape squeezable jelly u can buy. High expectations, but this was a swing and and a miss for me. Wouldn't buy again.
First off, this is not Chantilly cake. I don't understand what they're charging five dollars for either. Chantilly cake should have whole fresh berries on it and this was not it. It was good but it's not Chantilly and it's most definitely not worth five dollars a slice!
