I gave this pot pie 5 stars from gratitude that during a time of illness I was able to serve a decent meal to my family. It doesn't taste home made but I've tried more expensive brands that were far worse. I would buy it again. I would give 3 stars for flavor, for both, the filling and the crust. I appreciate Walmart's Marketside and prepared meals from the deli. For the fact that Walmart caters to lower income families I do most of my shopping with them and avoid Amazon unless Walmart doesn't carry what I'm looking for.

BEST CHICKEN POT PIE

Nyla December 25, 2025

Please check dates.. all we've had was very good. However, last one we bought at store (hubby didnt see date, its on top, on clear plastic %26 had expired 3 days prior to us buying it! shame on WM) We had to take it back (crust/dough gray inside %26 mottled apearance on top) %26 got our $ put back on card. I look forward to eating this new one. It's large enough for 4 meals..so will last me 3 meals, 4 if my hubby doesn't eat a slice😊 It is home comfort food %26 yummy..I would like more meat in it. If you have some extra chicken just cut it up %26 then when u get a slice put it with it. It is pricy but 4 meals at cost of $2.36 a meal .. not bad at all. No pic..it looks just like online

perfect crust filling: keep this recipe going!

Michelle December 4, 2025

I bought this based on other reviews, but was skeptical, because up until now, I've only been vaguely satisfied with the organic Blake's brand, and do get chicken pot pie in restaurants as a comfort food craving. Oddly, this one beat out all the others, with a very flavorful flaky crust with just the right texture and phenomenal filling. I think there's rosemary in the seasoning, and that was pleasantly surprising. Peas were not mushy - how they achieved that, I cannot imagine. My only complaint would be that, like other pre-made pies, there could have been a bit more filling. I'm sure that would raise the price, and there is enough filling, so...5/5. This was so delicious, I wish they sold the pie crust pre-made so I could try my hand at it, or made mini-pot-pies to take with. However, for whatever reason, this cuts very well, so I did cut pieces out after baking and put them away for later in separate containers.

Deeelicious pot pie!

Sunny March 18, 2026

This chicken pot pie has to be one of the best chicken pot pies I have ever eaten in my life. There aren't many recipes which include the use of Herbs de Provence for the absolutely wonderful flavors brought to marry with chicken, but this chicken pot pie does just that. I was so surprised with my first bite, that it took me about 25 minutes to finish eating my slice of pot pie. By the time I was done with my slice, the pie was gone courtesy my husband, daughter, and 2 grandsons. =) Luckily, I was full! I had no idea something could be devoured so quickly! This pot pie is definitely worth the cost. Please make sure you cook it for long enough to crisp the crust. Don't rush through cooking and leave the crust doughy. My wonderful husband likes to leave the crust doughy. That's not the best idea. Crisp, happy crust is the only way to do it. Yes. I said happy crust. =) Trust me. Enjoy your pot pie! 😘

Great chicken potpie

Heather October 27, 2025

I have to say this potpie is absolutely delicious. I honestly was not expecting it to be so good. It is not really dry but also doesnt really have a gravy per se like you would expect a potpie to have but none the less it is still delicious. The left overs heat up beautifully in the air fryer.

More expensive and not so good as the house brand.

AVO March 23, 2026

A very tasty chicken pot pie bought when the frozen dinners were not available; but not comparable at all to the frozen Banquet pot pies we usually buy. I paid about twice as much for the Market Place pie which did not compare in taste, texture or ease in preparation.More expensive

Less than 1/2” filling - Crust good

Kevin May 23, 2026

The cooking time and temperature allowed the pot pie to cook properly. The crust was crispy and thick but there was so little filling that it made the entire pot pie appear to be dry. The flavor of the filling is good, if it is seasoned. (It doesn't appear to have salt or pepper added for flavoring) The depth of the filling didn't exceed 1/2” side to side, very little for a 10” pie. Especially since the crust thickness was about 1/8” thick top and bottom. Add more filling and I'd recommend this pot pie.

I recommend Marie Callender's Chicken Pot Pie

zzzhuh December 17, 2025

I really wanted to like this product, but unfortunately I did not enjoy the taste, and so did not finish it. For the same price I recommend Marie Callender's Chicken Pot Pie, Family Size Frozen Meal, 45 oz. (frozen). I enjoyed it so much, that I just bought it again.

So sad by this product

Staci November 17, 2025

Typically I don't leave reviews since taste is very subjective, however I was so disappointed in this pot pie. When I bought this product I was so excited because it had crust on the top and bottom and the crust was very good!! Then came the disappointment. There was little to no filling and ours had no chicken in it. What was even worse there was a long black hair baked into the filling. 😭
