The Marketside Classic Iceberg Salad has become one of my go-to salad mixes. I’ve noticed it stays fresh and crisp longer than many of the other pre-bagged lettuces I’ve tried, which is a big deal for me. I can easily get three to four hearty salads out of one 24-ounce bag, and the quality stays consistent from the first serving to the last. The lettuce is clean, crunchy, and ready to use right out of the bag, which saves a lot of time. The value is also excellent — the price point is affordable, especially considering how long it lasts and how many meals I get from it. If you like fresh, crisp salads without spending a lot, this Marketside mix is a great choice.
I always love a great salad and I I usually add a few nuts, chickpeas, whatever additions I have, But if I'm just eating this salad right from the bag.with some great dressing, it's always perfect! My only suggestion is adding a zipper closure to help keep it fresh longer!
purchased twice and both times I was let down with the taste. this package contains way too much moisture and liquid which completely rendered the salad tasteless. I would not recommend this stick to the tossed green salads in a plastic container rather than the bag salad.
This is a good value for the money. I like this salad, but it deteriorates quickly. I started buying the smaller bags because it only lasts for a couple of days. If you don't eat is right away, it gets soggy and will spoil. I don't know if it is because it is not as fresh as the salads in the grocery store, or if it is packed with too much moisture. All I am sure of is when I buy it I have to try to eat it soon after it arrives.
Unfortunately, it's usually a little mushy. If not, it will start to deteriorate (oxidize and get mushy) by just sitting in the fridge for a day. I order via Walmart so I have no way to see ahead of time. If Walmart had a way for me to communicate to the shopper from a Chrome browser (from a PC - where I need to do my shopping) then I might be able to put a better review. Best wishes everyone.
Used curbside pickup. Took groceries inside and put away. Next day retrieved salad mix from fridge and noticed it expires in one more day. Some of the lettuce pieces were already looking funky on close observation. Curbside pickup is a godsend because of my handicap. Maneuverability is near gone so going inside for a refund at customer desk is near impossible. The pickers need to do a better job of checking for freshness unless they're told to do it this way
This was the second or third time I got salad from y’all and it was no good. I’m getting tired of buying products from y’all and the products was not good. I quit buying fruit because a couple times it comes in it was not good. I guess I gotta stop buying salad mixture from y’all too I will start looking for different store to buy salad mixture and fruit. And I always love shopping at Walmart. Walmart was always my number one store.
If you are planning to order this for delivery, don’t be surprised if it arrives partialy frozen leaving it a soggy mess when it thaws. I do get it decent once in a blue moon, but for the few times I’ve tried to order it and giving the benefit of the doubt it arrives unusable. If you are going into the store yourself, it’s decent salad. I have no crazy complaints doing it that way.
I got salmonella poisoning from a bag of salad that sat out, un-refrigerated for 2 hours after my items were shopped for and before it was delivered. I made a huge tossed salad with about $15 in toppings ate one serving and an hour or two later I was horribly sick.
second time ordered from the local Ledfewood New Jersey store, terrible both times. It went off on the second day, wilted and slimy. I live in florida, never had this issue. It's vacuum packed, stays fresh for days. I'll never order it from the Ledgewood NJ store again
