This soup exceeded my expectations! It is so delicious. I had it with some French bread and it was filling. I've already bought two more today and I just tried it last night. It's that good! The flavor reminds me a little of sautéed mushrooms. It has lots of sliced mushrooms and herbs, but it doesn't taste really herb heavy in a bad way. Try it you won't regret it.
This is easily some of the BEST mushroom soup I've ever had. The broth is so creamy and rich, and the big pieces of mushroom are an added bonus. Just a warning though, the sodium is super high on these. I didn't realize until after I purchased. They'll be a guilty pleasure item. Lol
The best cream of mushroom soup I ever ate was in Tours France in 1988. I could never duplicate it! I do know they used white wine in the recipe. This mushroom with herb soup is about as good as I tasted in Tours, France. I have ordered another within 2 days of the first!!
I loved this soup. if you can eat the mushy canned mushrooms, you will like this. The salt level didn't bother me. I will admit it looks like vomit and I worried that may bother me but I overcame that. not everything is for everyone. like I said, I loved it and have half of the carton left for another meal.
Walmart has awesome soups and this is the best one. This is so flavorful and so rich. Pairs great with a baked potato, salad or a light sandwich. Not salty.Worth the calories.. Great with oyster crackers. I recommend eating half with something else as it is high in saturated fat…but sooo worth it.
I do like this soup, it beats canned soup hands down. It has large pieces of mushroom. The only downside for me is it's too salty, so I dilute it with a little cream and additional fresh sliced mushrooms. I add potatoes or rice, especially wild rice, to make it heartier and more filling, which also helps with the salt. Make it special with a splash of sherry and some tarragon. Mushrooms and peas are a match made in heaven, so wild rice and peas - yes please! Or upgrade a green bean casserole. Amazing!
If you like mushroom soup, this one is amazing. It's so creamy and lots of flavor, with little bits of mushroom inside. I've also used it in place to make gravy or other recipes. But, my favorite way to eat it is hot with some Parmesan cheese on top and warm French bread and butter.
Cellophane seal was inflated and blown up like a balloon from bacteria propagating inside the soup! It was delivered from Walmart like this. Of course, Walmart refused to give me a refund unless I drive 25 miles to return this nasty stuff to the store! Walmart doesn't care about their customers, only about their profit. I will never buy a deli soup from Walmart again
The taste and smell was absolutely horrific. The mushrooms were very rubbery and tasted straight from the cheapest can in a grandmothers' long expired cupboard. The seasoning, if there at all, was so overpowered by the bad mushroom taste and smell it was non-existent. Herbs?? Where?? From what flavorless bunch did you pick them?! The soup was too watery, who tastes that and thinks "creamy" is an applicable texture? If I wanted to be that depressed from food I'd have dug up my stepmother. I wouldn't give that to my worst enemy. I don't think I can even blame this on certain people not knowing how to cook and season, that came from the depths of the cruelest hole veiled as a heart.
I have gotten before and liked but this one was spoiled and had to throw it away. I saw the cellophane was puffed some but wasn't sure if it was packaged that way but it was clearly rotten when i tasted a small bit and spit it out. Being homebound puts me at the mercy of shoppers who don't care what they grab. My bag of potatoes had rotten ones in.
