I use spinach in place of lettuce. I have not figured out what the value of lettuce is other than water and cellulose. Spinach has flavor, is more nutritious and has a great color. While it takes more time to put spinach on a sandwich, it adds flavor and is well worth the extra time. The sandwich goes to a whole new dimension with a bit of crunch. If you only eat half a sandwich at a time, warming the cold sandwich part in the microwave for a few seconds does not ruin the spinach, but does bring out more flavor. I also like it for salads and lasagna. It is a nice base for a salad. I especially like the salads when cottage cheese is added to the top with a sprinkle of shredded cheese..
I absolutely love this product! It was fresh, and no slimy leaves. This is such a great, easy way to get your veggies in!! I add it to scrabbled eggs when they're almost done, I add ot to Chicken Gnocchi Soup (and other soups!) and even in sandwiches. It's an easy, healthy add to so many dishes!!!!
Alvacado, Pompeian Balsamic Vinegar, Great Value Salt with Great Value Ranch Dressing. I also like tuna with mayo and crackers, and I occasionally slip some spinach in my tuna dip. It works well with chicken, beef or simply as a side dish. I add it to my pasta sauce I freeze. it cooks down instantly. Here's a late night eggroll snack pic with Great Value Seasoned Fries and this beautiful fresh Marketside Baby Spinach Spinach. I'm still healing from prostate cancer surgery and feeling better. Enjoy and thanks for reading my reviews.
It is good, but sometimes when the delivery driver delivers it to Me from the store, in hot weather, they need to keep it in a coolor or something, because I have been receiving wilted/moist pieces and it smells when I open the bag and end up not using it all.
I prefer buying bagged spinach at other stores, because these greens are always soaking in water. I usually have to throw out part of the bag when it's delivered. I always hope the shopper is selective, and chooses the freshest bag in stock.
as long as you pick it yourself or if the shopper if you have it delivered picks it well then it's fine but I've had a few times where someone picked the oldest nastiest looking one in the front or didn't pay attention to it and they sent me stuff that look like it should have been thrown away or donated other than that this is a great product.
The spinach needed to be used right away and that worked, but I would like to say the produce should be more fresh for me. I use a lot of fresh veggies. . Sometimes I feel as though the shopper takes the produce that is older and needs to be used for the people that are ordering. I have absolutely no problems anywhere else except fresh produce. Actually, I ordered other things from Walmart that I did not used to do. So I love this idea for the food department.
The spinach wasn’t moldy or past its written best by date, but why don’t shoppers stop and look at produce? Who would want soggy spinach?! I got delivery because I had surgery today. I’m going to try to get my money back on the app but I might have to go in.
Last week I bought 2 packages of baby spinich from Smiths. I was fantastic. This time I ordered the same one from Walmart. I guess you were out of Baby spinich so I received the regular. The date is good but the spinach is awful. I threw it all away. It was very tough( all of the big leaves ). The baby leaves (very few) were all yellow. My guess is some how that Walmarts spinich comes from a different grower. Even though it is the same company packaging. That is the only thing that makes sense. Maybe because you buy it for a lower cost than Smiths. Although I got it cheaper at Walmart what's the point if its no good? I definitely will not do it again. I bought an orange also that I threw away. I cannot buy produce at Walmart anymore. It's always disappointing. Other products are good except for a lot good value products. Any of my fresh foods will not be purchased at Walmart. Sorry for the bad review but that is honest. No matter how much cheaper I end up with 0.00. Definitely not a good thing 😕 Also dont blame the shopper the spinich was prepackaged and I dont think its his fault. The photos I sent were the one from Smiths. It's dated May 1st but as you can see is still fresh. I put walmarts in the trash last night. Walmart spinich was dated May 1. Smiths was May 4 or 5 but the date was not the problem. I think it was that way from grower. Plus I forgot, the large leaves has dark spots and the baby ones were yellow with tan spots. The Smiths spinich is still looking great.
Bought today, expires today! Visibly slimy inside the package. It isn’t marked with a mark down price for expiration, let alone, it should have not even been selected for ANYONE. I wish this was the first time this type of incident has happened, but something similar happens about every other order. Mostly with produce.
