Even though they weren’t past expiration the squash was slimy and rotten. I had to throw out all three bags. What a waste of money. This has been my experience with this bagged squash multiple times.
Absolutely disgusting. I should have read the reviews before I bought two bags for delivery. It was complete mush when I received it and had an expiration date being the next day. When I cut them open, both bags reeked. Do better, Walmart.
Shopper grabbed an expired expires today) bag of vegetables that had white slime visible through the bag. This is so gross and now unable to plan my meal for the week today.
Ew. Walmart used to be at least fair with grocery pickup. Lately it seems they are offloading bad food. It’s June 20. The best by date on these is June 20. What if I wanted to use this squash next week? I would never buy something on the use-by date unless I had plans to use it that day in my meal plans. Plus they are mushy. How old is this squash? I’m so disappointed.
Delivery on August 17. I met our driver at the door so everything was promptly put away. All cold items where cold still except the Butternut Squash by Marketside. As it's slimy and mushy I dont believe it's the drivers fault but whomever was shopping for my produce didn't pay attention as this was added to my cart.
As I was putting my groceries away I notice my squash looks really funky. It’s slimy, mushy, and has a nasty liquid at the bottom. I open it up and it was completely rancid and stunk so horribly! It was still 4 days until its expiration date and I received it straight from the store that way. So weird! I won’t buy this again but I usually am very satisfied with my other Walmart produce.
I ordered frozen butternut squash which ended up being out of stock and this was the substitute I received. It was mushy, soggy, and frankly disgusting despite having an expiration date of 4 days out. I had to throw it away.
This is my first time experiencing this in a wonderful tasting squash. The bag smelled funny and upon opening and cooking the cubes .....they were very sour ! not edible .I still have some uncooked squash left ,if you would like to smell it .
Purchased for convenience, but not worth it! This was my 2nd time to purchase and throw out. First time it tasted sour. Gave another chance and this time it was slimy, mushy and appeared old. Waste of money.
It was within 3 days of expiration date but was already mushy with a film inside bag. It looks far from fresh and you don’t know until you inpack your groceries.
