Very good quality for the price

Julie February 2, 2026

I did not expect much because of the low price compared to other brands. But I changed my mind as soon as I cooked it. The taste is very good ( I have cooked it in the oven with bread crumbs around it) and it is very delicate. I recommend it if you want to eat salmon without spending too much. It is the best option!

i grew up on the west coast. My grandmother had her own fishing boat. She was the one who knew where to find the salmon. these are perfectly delicious. Fresh and aready have had the scales removed. Coho is the very best. they can be fried, baked, steamed or put them in your air fryer.

got to have this. I cook and I take my time when I cook. so cook this slowly. take your time make sure that it's cooked to perfection so that when you eat the meat it's juicy and not dry and if you do cook it perfectly you're going to want to eat several of these. the cuts are great. it reminds me of when I go out to a restaurant and the chef comes out with a square shape plate, juices and spices running alongside on the side of the meat. you can take the Savory juices from the fish and add flavor to your other Foods. get your favorite seasoning and add to the fish and let the fish do its thing.

I found the recipe on the Walmart inspiration under groceries. You bake it with fresh dill, chopped up olive oil and lemon with asparagus around it and it is absolutely delicious. I eat it at least three or four times a week. It's hard not to eat it.

Marginal cuts. Two, not four

James December 21, 2025

This was marked down at the time and now I see why - There were just two cuts in the package, cut from directly behind the head, .83 pounds total. Each cut is long with half of it being belly meat. Very different from the product image. There were a few collar bone fragments. The meat itself was very good but it did look and taste more like farmed than wild salmon. The use by date was a week away and it seemed quite fresh with no odor. Also the plastic tray was not recyclable which is below Walmart's usual standards. I recycle whenever possible. Personally I like belly meat and skin because there is so much healthy fish oil in it but some shoppers will not like the presentation when plated. I don't know why some of these packs tell you to cook at 350. For a lifetime the correct temp for cooking fish has been 325 which is how I baked these. 20 minutes in a glass baking dish.

All summer, they had beautiful, fresh, never frozen, bright pink LATAM-farmed coho silver salmon that was so fatty it had like Waigu streaks in it. Then, all of a sudden, it wasn't. It was more like Alaskan dog salmon, like those two-pound bags of frozen. If you know your fish and shop for it yourself in the store, this might be some of the best salmon you ever picked by hand - if you have it delivered, you might be disappointed - we were, on the fifth or sixth order. It didn't have the sheen, you couldn't see the fatty lines in it - it cooked up dry with poor texture

Coho Salmon

MamaH April 24, 2026

I have ordered this in the past and it was always really good. This time it smelt fine when I took it out of the package, but had a bit of a fishy smell when I cooked it. When I had it for dinner that night it had a different taste and I honestly thought maybe it was just me. But the next thing I knew I was in the bathroom with diarrhea and throwing up for over two hours. Something was wrong with this fish. I'm very hesitant to order it from Walmart again. I should've asked for my money back.

Not what I ordered

Barbara March 10, 2026

i ordered skinless Atlantic salmon fillets, not farm raised Coho. The substitute I chose , also Atlantic skinless fillets, was not chosen by the store employee. Walmart's policy to return items to the store defeats the purpose: those who depend on delivery pay for membership, tips, and increased cost of items. The choice for the many of us who repeatedly experience disappointing grocery deliveries is to change companies that charge higher prices, which, may well be worth the cost to those who can afford to do so.

The frozen Coho Salmon I have been buying for several years at Walmart is far superior than this package of Fresh Coho Salmon. I will continue to buy the Frozen Marketside Coho Salmon no Antibiotics, skin on. 3 portions packs in each 1 lb. bag from Walmart. It has been the best over other Grocery Stores as well, including Publix.

Stay clear of this salmon

Michael March 25, 2026

I ordered regular raw salmon from Walmart and they sent me this salmon which has some sort of marinade on. Maybe you're supposed to put some breading on it. Including the sauce that it comes with, there may be serve it as an appetizer, but it does not seem very filling. First of all, I did not want any kind of spicy marinade on it. And second, the fish was falling apart, it was no longer a firm raw fish. He was a really, really bad quality. Not rotten, but just a bad quality fish. I really wanted to go throw it back in the river. But I don't have a river nearby Okay, so I'll be honest, I did eat it. But I did not enjoy it. And I would never buy it again, and I hate saying that, because the people that put this together probably put together some good stuff and they mean well. But hey, I didn't want this marinated falling apart fish. I wanted some firm just raw salmon.I cut it up and eat it like sushi and I could not eat this stuff like sushi because it was just whoa
