LOVED THEIR PRODUCE, MOST OF THE TIME IT'S A 10. ITS FRESH, PACKED NICE, AND HAS A GREAT TASTE. THEY HAVE LARGE CHUNKS, AND I CUT MINE SMALLER. AFTER THINKING ABOUT IT, THE LARGER PIECES STAY FRESH LONGER. NICE PRICE %26 GREAT QUALITY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR PRODUCE, ESPECIALLY THE FRUITS.
The cantaloupe itself is quite tasty; I took one star away for the freshness when it arrives. If you are having groceries delivered, like I am, the freshness is hit or miss, as the shopper's don't always look at the "use by" date and often the cantaloupe has already turned.
unfortunately if you cut cantaloupe before it's ripe it will not ripen any further staying hard. it has to be ripe enough to eat before cutting into chunks. I'm sure this melon would have better reviews if whom ever cuts it knew this. will keep trying , hoping for the best. it's convenient, I'd like to think someone will figure this out. ty
I have bought these the last four times and they've not been good enough to eat or too close to the ex! It's really just not the time of year to be purchasing cantaloupe and I should know better particularly when I get everything delivered and I'm not in the store to choose it. Myself and expiration dates are too close or that day of delivery.
This year the quality of fresh produce has noticeably changed. Often, it comes with a strong chemical-like taste and expired much quicker than times previously. Even when the product is perfectly within its use-by range, the taste is inedible and it is incredibly disappointing. This doesn't apply only to this product, but many fresh produce products (and not only limited to Walmart stores) unfortunately. This change hasn't been noticed by me alone but also by friends, family, and acquaintances.
I just bought these on October 20, 2025 and opened them today October 21, 2025 and the first thing I notice was the heavy smell of vinegar which told me these had went bad. If you look at the cantaloupe closer, you can see white spots which makes me believe there is mold on them. I'm so glad my daughter isn't old enough to eat these yet and I'm so glad I can tell when cantaloupe had gone bad based off smell alone. Please smell your cantaloupe before eating so you know if it's bad or not! I'm so disappointed!
How I place an order for fruit and the Walmart shopper gives me food that expires today
Product expire the day it was purchased and I was soured already. Same with cantaloupe. Money wasted.
2 Days past expiration date and they were no good. today is the 15th, expiration date the 13th
Overripe and not a good substitution for a whole cantaloupe.
