These pineapples were fresh , probably just as like picking them off of the tree. the only difference is they were sweet, tasty and juicy. These were the first time I've tried honestly. I would highly recommend them. There great for dessert. After lunch and supper, I had them for a midnight snack. try them you will like them.
I ordered these through pick up and they gave me the most fresh pineapple I’ve ever eaten. It’s so sweet and delicious. I love Walmarts fruit selection and knowing they pick the best product for the people who pick up their groceries is great to know. I live very rural and I can pick up my groceries including fresh fruits and they last for weeks. Very happy.
It depends on the growing season, if an item is in season its very good, but if an item is not in season or isn't ripe? You may find some bit and pieces that are really just not that good. So far I have had good luck with the precut fruits, except for once when it had been cut (badly) and there were bits of inedible pineapple attached to a few of the chunks. This will happen when you order an item for a shopper to get and not yourself. That's usually when the shopper simply grabs the first item without first inspecting it. Best rule when shopping for someone is, if you would not eat it? The person you are shopping for will probably not eat it
Cut up pineapple would be better if ripe or near-ripe pineapples were chosen for slicing up. I don't know how the produce folks pick fruit for cutting up. 50% of the time the pineapple was not ripe and ready for being cut up and delivered. Like eating wood. I've learned my lesson. I'll buy my own pineapple and cut it up myself or pick out cut-up packs myself.
I could tell by looking at it when it arrived. It was not close to being ripe and it was hard as a rock, and very very sour!! So , once again and as per usual, it was thrown out. I would rather them tell me they were out or something rather than rip me off. I can’t return it because I rely on all my groceries being delivered.
It may have been good but I made the mistake of online ordering and this item had the best by date that was the same day I bought. 2 days later I noticed the date be cause when I went to eat it, it was slimy. Might of been good, I'll never know, what I do know is I won't shop online again.
This was the poorest excuse for pineapple I have ever come across. As soon as I saw the color I knew it was going to be a disappointment. It did not have the yellow color of a ripe pineapple. Instead it was white like a peeled apple.. As it expected from it's appearance the taste was absolutely dreadful. The first piece I ate was almost solid core....which I spit into the trash. I tried a few more pieces and each one was more than 50% pineapple core. As consumers know, fruit is expensive... So don't waste your money on this one. Someone needs to learn how to cut pineapple...Leave the core out !!
The Pinapple Was Old and 4 pieces had to be Trashed out of eight. In the same week I bought Market Place Snow Peas, Bagged in Produce; 1/3 of the Bag was bad; the order Before Snow Peas Was 1 with Green Grapes for $5.33 with a 1/3 of those being old turning yellow and soft and mushy. I am a senior on a fixed income, So I worry when a trend happens like this within a 10 day or so period of time. Thank You, Angela Deaderick
The pineapple was brown and mostly turned bad when I had it delivered from Walmart delivery. I also bought other fruit that night that was just as bad so apparently it's not a one off thing. That was like a week ago, like I'm gonna take pictures of something that I had to take to the dumpster the following day. Bet I will next time though.
This is a terrible product. There is more pineapple core than pineapple in the tray. The tray can't be resealed so you have to use all of the product or put it in another dish. Considering the expense of the pineapple, don't waste your money on a product you put half of the weight in the trash.
