Best tasting watermelon by far!! Juicy and delicious. But you gotta buy it when it's in season during the summer. I'm unable to cut up a whole watermelon myself because it's too difficult, so it's worth the price to pay more for one that's already cut up. I specifically like this one because it seems to be from the center of the watermelon, which is the best part!!
This Ludington, MI Walmart store is so much better than the two stores near me in IL! Their produce is good and they have a wide variety of brands. I will be returning.
This product is typically great and better than other leading grocery stores. However, like any other fruit, sometimes it has a couple soggy pieces, which someone in your household will probably eat and not care about : ). It is wonderful as a snack for kids/adults and the pieces are nice size.
I didn't like that sometimes that it has a lot of watermelon rin taste instead of the watermelon. I sometimes ordered 3 or 4, and only one was without the taste of watermelon rin.
For a center cut from an organic melon and for the cost, it falls way short of a bullseye. Think of a pulling a melon from a pool of ice water then splittung it open to get to the center and then sharing. This melon only had the cost.
I have only ordered this once but did not find it to be any more flavorful than just buying the standard chunks of watermelon. At some point I will try this again because cannot judge a fresh product by only one purchase. As we all know, you cannot judge a watermelon by it's skin. The texture and cut of this product was fine but knot what I expected in flavor (sweetness) from the center cut of a watermelon.
Maybe it is just “end of season” but unlike previous watermelons earlier this summer, this order was mushy and off-tasting. Delivered on the 15th, it had an expiration of the 17th. Perhaps the date was off?
I'd give 0 stars if I could. 2 days I've been trying to get my order delivered as a Walmart subscriber. Yesterday 3 out of 11 items were missing and today the ENTIRE ORDER was delivered to a house I don't recognize. I've been on hold to get to speak with an agent for over a hour now. I eventually gave up and hung up. They hire morons because this weekend wasn't the first and… don't buy produce bec/the lovely people who do the picking give you either overripe items or items that are either at or past the expiration date. I'm so sorry I spent 100.00 for this subscription as I've had nothing but problems. Even the “scan and go” in store feature doesn't let you scan and go and get checked at the door you still have to go to the auto checkout and wait for an attendant to look and go through the ENTIRE order then you pay for it. So basically, I wasted my time scanning everything as I put it into the shopping cart because I was going to have to go through the line have ABSOLUTELY everything checked and then actually pay for it there I could've just done all of that at the self check out, ZERO time saved, Sam's club has the scan and go perfectly figured out and they are the same company. I'm done. I'm actually going to pay more at my local ShopRite and willing (I dont make much) but I'd rather lose a few dollars and have 0 aggravation then ever walk into any Walmart building for groceries or shop on the app for delivery again I'm done. I really mean it. I'm done. So ShopRite…Gerritys… you got yourself a customer.
This was very expensive, but I decided to try it since it was supposed to be center cut. One side of it was white from being cut close to the rind. The rest of it had no flavor and wasn't sweet at all. I will NEVER purchase this again. I feel like I wasted $11.
This piece of watermelon was cut from an overripe watermelon. It was smooshy and the texture was horribly grainy. My daughter was making me a fruit, but after one bite we knew that we were not going to ruin our fruit salad by adding this watermelon to it. Had to have her run to the store to get another watermelon. This one went into the garbage can.
