we are super picky about our watermelon but this tray of watermelon was unbelievably sweet and good at a point in time when we couldn't find a sweet watermelon anywhere so that was intensely awesome to get the surprise of really super nice great texture ultra juicy really good flavor watermelon that didn't look like it had been genetically modified by a crazy person
Ok so I love me some watermelon and I have been purchasing it alot from various places smile. However I did recieve a bad batch, and didnt bother with the return process (it's a hit or miss thing....lol) yet I'm still ordering MarketFresh watermelon chunks
Even though I had delivery, the watermelon was still cold and sweet a few pieces didn't have quite as much sweetness but overall it was fresh sweet just the cool refreshing snack I was looking for! convient packaging but I only gave it a four instead of five because sometimes you get it and it is very soft . Plus it is much more expensive than just buying a mellon. I purchase it because my strength is not good and it is easier for me to eat these precut pieces.
When you get these watermelon chunks and they're fresh, they're excellent. But when you get them and they have sat on Walmart shelf for a couple of days, there is not 100% of the product to eat that was in the package. And, sometimes it seems like the fruit was frozen and thawed type quality.
Usually a uniformly cut, high quality product. This pkg had more juice weight than normal, a variety of chunk sizes thrown in haphazardly and several pieces were from quite close to the rind. Other pieces in the bottom of the package were already spoiled. This was unuseable to serve my guests.
I'm so disappointed in Walmart. You can never reach someone on the phone. I don't even know how to email them although I'm sure I could find out. Anyway, this item was unavailable with my pickup, so why are they asking me to rate it? They need to work on their customer service. I've called three different times about another item in this order that they just forgot to put in my car, and I haven't been able to reach a soul, in fact twice they just dropped the call saying that they were unusually busy. Yes, but they've said that every one of the three times I've called. How can they be unusually busy every single day? Why don't they spend some of their profits on staffing the phone lines?
The package was filled with water and the watermelon was slimy inside. Definitely not freshly packaged. I normally don't purchase cut up watermelon but was not feeling well and needed some extra hydration and thought this would be a good idea because I didn't have the energy to cut it myself. I was never more sorry, the only saving grace was the refund from Walmart, but what I really wanted was some fresh watermelon in my refrigerator and some extra hydration.
Received item was not fresh (mostly mushy juice) the watermelon flesh was slimy. There were only a handful of actual fruit in the container because of the breakdown of the fruit. I had to throw it away. It was inedible. Sorry I didn't get a photo of the item before dumping it in the trash.
When I opened a corner of the package ...the juice from the watermelon that poured out was so thick. The fruit that Walmart chose for my pickup order was so ruined it was ridiculous. They refunded the product price. But, to choose this for an order is unconscionable. Do better, Walmart.
